RESUMEN:Objetivo: Describir el perfil académico y evaluar la prevalencia de trastornos/dolor musculoesquelético en estudiantes de graduación en Enfermería de una universidad comunitaria del sur brasileño. Método: Estudio descriptivo, cuantitativo, del tipo encuesta, con 149 estudiantes de enfermería a través del instrumento compuesto por preguntas referentes a las variables sociodemográficas, hábitos de vida y salud, así como por la versión brasileña Standardized Nordic Questionnaire. Resultados: La mayoría era del sexo femenino, con 18 y 25 años de edad, soltera, vive con la familia, no tiene hijos, no recibe beca o ayuda de la familia y trabaja en hospitales. Prevalencia de síntomas musculoesqueléticos en la región dorsal y baja de la espalda y hombros. Conclusiones: La prevalencia de estos síntomas entre los estudiantes señala la necesidad de implementar acciones preventivas y de promoción de la salud para contribuir a una mejor calidad de vida y salud, en el ámbito académico y en el futuro como profesionales.
Objetivo: descrever a frequência e os sintomas para suspeição de Distúrbios Psíquicos Menores (DPM) em estudantes de Enfermagem. Método: estudo transversal descritivo, com 149 estudantes de enfermagem de uma Universidade Comunitária do Sul do Brasil. A coleta dos dados foi realizada em 2015, mediante instrumento autopreenchível, contendo variáveis sociodemográficas, laborais, de hábitos e saúde e o Self-Reporting Questionnaire-20. Resultados: a frequência de DPM nos estudantes foi de 67,8%. As questões com maior frequência de respostas afirmativas foram: sentir-se nervoso, tenso ou preocupado (81,9%); ter dores de cabeça frequentemente (68,5%); dormir mal (58,4%); cansar-se com facilidade (61,7%); e ter dificuldade de pensar com clareza (51%). Conclusões: houve a predominância de sintomas de Humor depressivo-ansioso e Somáticos, o que sugere a possibilidade do comprometimento da saúde mental dos estudantes. Method: a descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted with 149 undergraduate nursing students from a community university in the south of Brazil. Data were collected in 2015, by means of a selfadministered instrument, containing sociodemographic, work-, habit-and health-related variables and the Self-Reporting Questionnaire-20. Results: the frequency of MPD in the undergraduates was 67.8%. The questions that were most frequently answered affirmatively were: feeling nervous, tense or worried (81.9%); frequently having headaches (68.5%); having poor sleep (58.4%); easily getting tired (61.7%); and having difficulty thinking clearly (51%). Conclusions: there was a predominance of somatic and depressive-anxious mood symptoms, which suggests the possibility that the undergraduates' mental health was compromised.
