O presente trabalho tenciona apresentar um estudo de caso sobre a colônia penal localizada no bairro de Dois Unidos, Recife. Para sua inserção no contexto pré-golpe de 64, buscamos o entendimento das ações da SSP-PE sob a gestão do Cel. Costa Cavalcanti, a fim de apreender os panoramas de sua construção e uso, entendendo suas relações com o bairro em que se localiza.
Resumo: Este artigo apresenta a aplicação de uma técnica de compensação de atrasos, visando melhorar o condicionamento numérico de uma estratégia de controle preditivo (MPC), com garantia de factibilidade e estabilidade robusta. Em particular, a técnica usada neste trabalho exibe a compensação por efetividade dos atrasos, através do uso da matriz de tempos mortos efetivos na saída, o que permite a redução adequada do número de estados gerados pela presença dos atrasos. A aplicação da técnica é ilustrada através de simulações em um CSTR onde ocorre a reação de polimerização de estireno. Os resultados obtidos apontam para o êxito da técnica e incluem: a avaliação de desempenho das variáveis controladas, o esforço de controle e a análise do esforço computacional durante a resolução do problema de otimização.
Nos estudos de transporte de fluidos compressíveis, muitas vezes, a análise do perfil de pressão e da equação de estado é negligenciada. Este trabalho faz uma comparação entre os modelos utilizados na simulação de sistemas de transporte e compressão e as equações de estado atreladas aos cálculos, para o transporte de CO2 líquido e gás natural. O levantamento indicou que existem disparidades significativas em até 5,0 MPa, cuja influência pode afetar nas condições de operação e nos custos desses sistemas.
