The article presents the results of preliminary tests of the vehicles powertrain with fuel cells, carried out in a thermoclimatic chamber in a reduced temperature box. The aim of this research is to facilitate the introduction of this type of vehicle to the market and guarantee correct operation in changing climatic conditions. In tests, the use of a new type of vehicle drive system and the use of hydrogen as a commonly available fuel is of great importance.
The article presents the issues of energy recovery in the hybrid drive system of a vehicle Toyota Yaris 1,5 Hybrid. Road tests of a vehicle equipped with a hybrid drive system were carried out in accordance with the recommendations of the RDE test. In these studies, measurements of braking energy recovery were carried out in urban, rural and motorway traffic conditions. The analysis of the obtained test results may constitute a premise for the creation of an appropriate strategy for the operation of the hybrid drive system in terms of meeting the requirements of the currently prepared Euro 7 standard.
The article presents currently applied construction solutions for currently used cooling systems for internal combustion engines. There were presented their defects and possible development directions were indicated. On this basis the concept of a cooling system which will enable the improvement of heat exchange in the internal combustion engine has been proposed.
