The purpose of this paper is to determine the impact of demographic, socio-psychological factors and the intensity of ethnocentric tendencies among Croatian consumers that will lead to the conceptualization of consumers ethnocentric profile in Croatia. The research was conducted using the questionnaire method on a sample of 1000 respondents in Croatia. The results were processed using a multivariate statistic that is used for the factor and descriptive inferential statistical analysis. Statistics showed the causes of consumer ethnocentrism to be psychological, associated with the structure of consumer's social environment which cannot develop in isolation but as part of a set of socio-psychological, economic, political and demographic influences. As a result, consumer's ethnocentrism cannot be fully identified only assumed. Consumer's ethnocentrism will depend on country, values, customs and behavioral patterns. The statistical analysis concluded regardless of gender the consumer who is expressing high ethnocentric tendencies would be older, less educated, with low income, highly religious and is dissatisfied with their life in Croatia.

This paper aims to explore consumer attitudes toward using smart shopping cart, considering country of origin, gender, age, and intentions to use smart shopping carts while purchasing. Moreover, it investigates the influence of extracted factors on consumers' attitudes toward using smart shopping carts and the users' levels of digital competence. The data was collected through survey questionnaires using a purposive sample of 313 Croatian and Italian respondents. To this end, we applied statistical methodologies such as binary logistic regression, factor analysis, and analysis of variance. We found that, compared with Croatians, Italian respondents have a more positive attitude toward using smart shopping carts, regardless of age or gender. Moreover, we found that consumers are influenced by two major factors: functional and convenience. Consumers who purchase for functionality reasons will have preferences associated with faster product selection and speeding up the purchasing process without fearing that they lack the necessary expertise. If functionality has the tendency to increase, respondents will not lack ICT knowledge when purchasing with the smart cart.

Previous studies revealed that consumers' interpretations of online environment exerted a powerful influence over buying intention. The paper aimed to investigate the difference between Generation Y online buying behaviour and online environment cues. The paper also explored the relation between Generation Y online buying behaviour and consumers' intention in an online environment. The data were collected using an online survey on a sample of 515 Croatian Generation Y consumers from the Dubrovnik-Neretva County. The data were analysed using factor analysis and analysis of variance. The findings indicated that online consumers were influenced by three major factors, compulsiveness, impulsiveness and functionality. The results also revealed that online environment cues (ease of use, website quality and attractiveness, and website design) had a significant influence on Generation Y consumers who purchased online due to compulsivity and functionality. Additionally, the significant moderately strong relationship was found between online environment cues and consumers' intentions towards online buying.
