Novel alkoxo-bridged lanthanide(III) dinuclear complexes Na4[Ln2(μ-dpta-O)2] (Ln=GdIII, HoIII, and YbIII; H4dpta-OH=1,3-diamino-2-hydroxypropane-N,N,N′,N′-tetraacetic acid) were prepared and characterized. X-ray analysis for the Yb(III) complex indicated that each Yb atoms, which is surrounded by four terminal O atoms from carboxylate, two bridged O atoms from alkoxo, and two N atoms in two different dpta-O ligands, is situated in an eight coordinate geometry.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
