The low learning outcomes of students on geometry may be due to the unavailability of GeoGebra software assisted learning modules. This research aims to investigate the effectiveness of a GeoGebra software assisted learning module on the theory of flat-faced 3D shapes. This study consists of three phases, which are preliminary research, prototyping phase, and assessment phase. The test subjects are the students of a junior high school in Aceh Selatan. The research instruments cover student activity sheets, formative test sheets, student response questionnaires, and observer response questionnaires. The results show that the learning module satisfies the effectiveness criteria. These results are supported by very good student activities, improvement in students’ score of formative test, and positive responses of the students and teachers on the learning module.
Abstract. Tuberculosis is an infectious disease which has caused a large number of mortality in Indonesia. This disease is caused by Mycrobacterium tuberculosis. Besides affecting lung, this disease also affects other organs such as lymph gland, intestine, kidneys, uterus, bone, and brain. This article discusses the epidemic of tuberculosis through employing the SEIR model. Here, the population is divided into four compartments which are susceptible, exposed, infected and recovered. The susceptible population is further grouped into two which are vaccinated group and unvaccinated group. The behavior of the epidemic is investigated through analysing the equilibrium of the model. The result shows that administering vaccine to the susceptible population contributes to the reduction of the tuberculosis epidemic rate.
This research was conducted for 2 weeks in October at SMAN 11 Medan. This type of research is classroom action research. Before the action is taken first, the initial test is given. From the results of the initial test, the average student achievement was 20.62 with a classical completeness level of 0%. After giving action I to creative thinking tests the level of student study in classical is 15%, with an average grade achievement of 33.75. To test student learning outcomes the level of completeness obtained by students is 17.5%, with an average grade achievement of 26.42. After the implementation of action II for creative thinking tests the level of student study learning in classical is 85%, with an average achievement of 72.85 classes. To test student learning outcomes the level of completeness obtained by students is 90%, with an average grade achievement of 77.17. From this there is an increase in the level of classical completeness by 70% for students 'creative thinking and 72.5% for students' mathematics learning outcomes.
