El presente estudio trató sobre la recuperación de oro a partir de un mineral aurífero carbonáceo procedente de la provincia de Pallasca, departamento de Ancash, mediante un concentrador gravimétrico centrífugo. El mineral analizó 7,2 g/t de Au y 0,22% C. Se probó la recuperación de oro con los factores de concentración gravimétrica centrífuga: tamaño de partícula, gravedad centrífuga, presión de agua, porcentaje de sólidos, ratio de concentración y caudal de pulpa. Los resultados obtenidos muestran que el factor de tamaño de partícula y la presión de agua, con los que más influyes en la concentración centrífuga. Se concluye que la mayor recuperación de oro se obtiene con tamaño de partícula 75 µm, comparando los demás factores vs el tamaño de partícula: con gravedad centrifuga 145 G´s se obtuvo 66,15%, con presión de agua 13 psi se obtuvo 66,73%, con 15% de sólidos se obtuvo 56,47%, con ratio de concentración 20 se obtuvo 55,17% y con caudal de pulpa 15 l/min se obtuvo 62,13% de recuperación de Au respectivamente.
