The dynamic mathematical model of a tubular reactor for the production of low-density polyethylene (LDPE) is introduced and simulation studies of a LDPE plant are presented. The plant consists of the tubular reactor, compressors, heat exchangers and material recycles. The overall model formulation comprises differential, partial differential and algebraic equations. This model formulation is transformed into a DAE system using an adaptive method of lines approach, where the grid points may change their position but their number remains constant. With this technique a solution on a standard PC is possible. © 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved. [accessed 2014 January 9th
Was bedeutet dies konkret?
Schlagwörter WirelessHART / NE 124 / Feldtest Field Test WirelessHART WirelessHART-"one single" standard for wireless process measurement and control devices? To answer this question, NAMUR started a technological study for wireless sensor networks. A first step of this study is a field test with WirelessHART-compliant devices at BASF's Ludwigshafen site. The WirelessHART field will offer manufacturers like ABB, Emerson, Endress+Hauser, MacTek, Pepperl+Fuchs and Siemens, a platform for demonstrating the performance of their equipment. In addition to the manufacturers, the HART Communication Foundation will also support the test. With this manufacturerindependent field test, the requirements for Wireless Automation defined in the NAMUR recommendation NE 124 are to be reflected with the specifications of the WirelessHART standard. The objective of the prototype applications in production plants is the validation of laboratory results in the industrial environment as well as a "proof of concept" for the new wireless standard.
