Tako-tsubo kardiomyopatie nebo také stresová kardiomyopatie je poměrně vzácné a ve většině případů reverzibilní onemocnění myokardu. Počáteční projevy mají podobné rysy jako akutní koronární syndrom. Patofyziologický mechanismus není dosud přesně znám. V současnosti je za nejpravděpodobnější příčinu považován nadbytek katecholaminů, který pak má pravděpodobně ústřední roli v omráčení myokardu. Vyplavení katecholaminů mnohdy předchází fyzický či emocionální stres. V první kazuistice předkládáme typický případ pacientky, u níž byl tako-tsubo syndrom vyvolán dlouhodobě trvajícím stresem v zaměstnání, který byl v první fázi považován za infarkt myokardu. Po stanovení diagnózy a následné terapii došlo k úplnému uzdravení pacientky. Ve druhém případě se jednalo o polymorbidní pacientku, u které byl tako-tsubo syndrom diagnostikován po silném emocionálním stresu vyvolaném úmrtím blízké osoby a paralelně probíhající infekcí močových cest. Druhý případ byl doprovázen velmi vzácnou komplikací -rupturou volné stěny levé komory.
