Este trabajo se propone reflexionar sobre la relación entre educación y recreación en dos momentos puntuales del siglo XX en Uruguay, a la vez que producir nuevos discursos para leer la historia de la recreación. Revisión a la luz de las evidencias históricas, que se coloca en oposición a un discurso sobre la recreación fuertemente vinculado al mercado y a la privatización del saber y la experiencia, materializado en determinados monopolios que giran en torno del ámbito de la recreación. Este texto es resultado de un encuentro entre dos investigaciones y sus work progress, que se centran en la historia de la recreación en el Uruguay y en su vínculo con la educación. Se presentan las principales empíreas sobre las que se erigen algunas reflexiones para pensar, los sentidos y las prácticas puestas a funcionar por la educación física en el Uruguay bajo la denominación de recreación o recreativo, así como también, aproximarse someramente a los discursos sobre la educación del cuerpo contenidos en este elemento siempre difuso a la interna del campo de la educación, a saber, la recreación. En el siguiente trabajo nos proponemos analizar e1 proceso desarrollado en el marco del acuerdo EFI del 2014. Particularmente, nos centraremos en visibilizar y analizar la dimensión inter y transdiciplinaria del proyecto y las tensiones que se presentan en torno a las mismas para pensar las diferentes prácticas de extensión universitaria. De este modo, en la medida que, el proyecto es integrado por educación física, nos proponemos problematizar a partir de esta experiencia particular la tensión a la que desde la disciplina nos enfrentamos. Nos basamos, en tres documentos elaborados por el EFI Movimientos barriales y manifestaciones de la cultura, en los que se establecen los acuerdos de trabajo para la intervención de los servicios universitarios en el Programa Integral Metropolitano.
Este trabajo es un análisis a modo de ensayo sobre juguetes, evitando romantizar dicho objeto se lo analiza a partir de la perspectiva de la industria cultural, arriesgando a partir de esa categoría algunas reflexiones sobre la relación infancia, cultura lúdica y mercado. La hipótesis del artículo es que la cultura lúdica se produce también, por medio de los esquemas de la industria cultural y que los y las niñas re – producen aquellos esquemas jugando. Se toma como referencia el caso de uno de los establecimientos de una de las cadenas de supermercados más grandes de Uruguay, ubicado en un barrio céntrico de la capital. En dónde se identifica un sector destinado al consumo de la infancia dividido en dos partes, una en la que predomina el color azul y otra el rosa.
En este trabajo se presenta una reflexión acerca de la posibilidad de pensar el “tiempo libre” como una forma de capital. A partir del análisis de la configuración que adquieren ciertas prácticas corporales en sociedades en las que las relaciones de producción cultural han tomado la lógica de producción capitalista y las reglas del mercado han colonizado el tiempo total del hombre, es que nos proponemos reflexionar sobre algunas tensiones que presenta el campo del “tiempo libre” respecto de las prácticas que los agentes sociales desenvuelven. Se tomarán como referencia central, conceptos fundamentales de Pierre Bourdieu y Jean Claude Passeron, entre otros, especialmente los conceptos de habitus, campo y distinción.
