En este estudio reportamos el avistamiento de la sita canadiense (Sitta canadensis) en los meses de septiembre de 2007 y enero-febrero de 2012. Estos reportes corresponden a dos localidades del norte del estado de Chihuahua, México, separadas por 85 km. Dichas localidades fueron la Sierra La Amargosa, municipio de Guadalupe y el Parque El Chamizal, Ciudad Juárez. Esta especie sólo se había registrado en los estados de Baja California, Nuevo León, Sinaloa y Jalisco, de ahí la importancia de este registro para entender su distribución en el norte del país.
