This study aimed to determine the effects of the change from face-to-face to online education on university students due to the COVID-19 crisis. This observational, descriptive, and crosssectional study included 400 students from different undergraduate fields of the two of the largest public higher education institutions in the city of Riobamba: Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo (ESPOCH) and Universidad Nacional de Chimborazo (UNACH). Data were collected through an online questionnaire sent to students via email and social networks. Four dimensions measuring the psycho-emotional and academic implications, access and management of Tics, and general perceptions were investigated. The most relevant results indicated that a large percentage of students have not only experienced emotional, educational, and social changes, but their academic performance has also dropped with online classes. Moreover, the students reported that they often have a good Internet connection but more than half of them considered the system used by their institution to merely be satisfactory. The current health crisis has left and is leaving many lessons and challenges yet to be met. Although it is not known exactly how long the institutions will have to face this challenge, work must continue to strengthen the pedagogical skills and digital competencies of those involved in the higher education system. Keywords: University students, Online teaching, COVID-19. The objective of this study was to establish the prevalence of mobbing in workers using the Cisneros scale. This observational, descriptive, and cross-sectional study included 60 workers from public and private institutions, who voluntarily agreed to participate by filling out the provided questionnaire. The self-administered Cisneros scale comprises 43 items that assess psychological harassment behaviors. It was found that 18% of the workers had been victims of at least one form of workplace harassment or psychological mistreatment described in the Cisneros scale in the last six months, and no significant differences were seen in the harassment between men and women. Each behavior indicating harassment at work was analyzed both in the samples of harassed and non-harassed workers, and statistically significant differences were found between the two (p = 0.000). Overall, 46% of the workers reported that they were harassed at work by their bosses or supervisors and 35% by coworkers. Workplace harassment is an increasingly visible problem in our society; therefore, it is important to carry out studies concerning this problem to identify the degrees, levels, and forms that this practice adopts, as well as the establishment of laws and interpersonal and institutional norms to prevent this phenomenon. Keywords: Harassment at work, Workers, Cisneros scale.
