A Tuberculose é relatada como uma das doenças mais antigas do mundo, de origem bacteriana e infectocontagiosa grave, tem como principal agente etiológico o Mycobacterium tuberculosis. O objetivo desse estudo foi verificar o perfil de resistência aos antimicrobianos de cepas de M. tuberculosis isoladas de pacientes em uma Unidade de Referência em Santarém-Pará. O estudo foi realizado por meio de abordagem quantitativa, descritiva, retrospectiva com o emprego da pesquisa documental, com busca de informações nos livros de registro do Laboratório da Unidade e no sistema GAL (Gerenciamento de Ambiente Laboratorial). Foram realizados testes de sensibilidade de cepas de M. tuberculosis isoladas de 52 pacientes, sendo, 22 (421,3%) do sexo feminino e 30 (57,7%) do sexo masculino, com média de 43,4 anos de idade. 47 cepas (90,4%) apresentaram-se sensíveis a todos os antimicrobianos testados e 5 (9,6%) apresentaram resistência, sendo 1 cepa com monorresistência (resistente à estreptomicina); 1 com polirresistência (resistente à isoniazida e pirazinamida) e 3 com multirresistência (1 cepa resistente a isoniazida e rifampicina e 2 cepas resistentes à isoniazida, rifampicina e etambutol). O abandono do tratamento e o surgimento de cepas resistentes, são fatores que estão associados a elevada incidência global da TB, os quais impõem dificuldades ao processo de cura, aumentando o tempo e o custo do tratamento.
RESUMOEste estudo tem como objetivo analisar o que pensam, sentem e experimentam os indígenas que permanecem na Casai / Santarém sobre o SUS e o acesso aos serviços de saúde oferecidos. Tratase de uma pesquisa explicativa, transversal e qualitativa, cuja abordagem ocorreu por meio de entrevitstas semiestruturadas, gravadas e transcritas, com a participação de 9 indígenas das reservas de Nhamundá / Mapuera, Yawara e Najar, dos quais apenas 1 (um) falava português, sendo também responsável pela tradução dos discursos dos outros indígenas. Utilizou-se a análise de conteúdo, resultando em 6 categorias: saúde pública no Brasil segundo o conhecimento indígena; princípios e organização do sistema único de saúde no saber indígena, percepção dos indígenas acerca dos seus direitos no contexto do SUS, serviços de saúde ofertados na aldeia, profissionais de saúde presentes na aldeia, principais facilidades e dificuldades para o acesso aos serviços de saúde fora da aldeia. Ponderamos que apesar de o Subsistema de Atenção à Saúde Indígena ter sido criado com objetivo de facilitar o acesso aos serviços de saúde a esta população, ainda existem diversos entraves para sua completa efetivação e consolidação.
