A partir das transformações acarretadas pelas tecnologias na educação, torna-se imprescindível refletir sobre o que se aprende. Portanto, a questão deste estudo centrou-se em: qual o atual panorama e estrutura conceitual das publicações científicas inseridas na temática metacognição e tecnologias digitais no ensino de ciências? O objetivo visou identificar as principais abordagens adotadas no campo da metacognição e tecnologias digitais no ensino de ciências, partindo da análise bibliométrica no recorte de 2000-2020. Para tanto, utilizou-se a base de dados Web of Science e, obtiveram-se 97 artigos, investigados sob análise descritiva e relacional. Identificaram-se quatro abordagens: estratégias metacognitivas, autorregulação, projetos e experiências e, intervenção. Verificou-se a tendência na produção de pesquisas mistas e empíricas. Espera-se que este estudo contribua para o entendimento quanto ao desenvolvimento científico no contexto da metacognição e das tecnologias digitais no ensino de ciências, bem como levantar lacunas que permitam a abertura de espaços para futuras discussões.
A busca por estratégias e novas metodologias que possam promover benefícios para o processo de ensino e de aprendizagem é um desafio para a competência docente. Pensando nisso, o presente artigo buscou, por meio de uma revisão sistemática da literatura, investigar como estão sendo realizadas as pesquisas relacionadas aos Recursos Educacionais Abertos no Ensino de Ciências, indexados na base de dados da Biblioteca Eletrônica Científica Scielo, Scopus e Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), permitindo, desse modo, identificar possíveis tendências e lacunas sobre o objeto de estudo investigado para agregar contribuições ao campo científico. Foram encontrados 2356 artigos referente à temática de investigação, porém, poucos artigos contemplaram o corpus deste estudo. Como resultado, constatou-se que, pesquisas sobre os REA no Ensino de Ciências são escassas, em razão das discretas investigações neste campo de pesquisa, ou seja, a sustentabilidade e/ou fomento ao desenvolvimento e uso dos REA no âmbito do Ensino de Ciências no cenário brasileiro enfrenta desafios para sua consolidação. Espera-se que este artigo traga contribuições para professores, estudantes e futuros pesquisadores a integrarem esse movimento legítimo em suas práticas. Sobretudo, a instigar uma educação mais acessível e equitativa para construir uma sociedade mais democrática cientificamente e menos desigual.
