A negligência no uso de preservativo e a exposição ao risco de infecções sexualmente transmissíveis no ensino superior: um paradoxo entre informações e práticas Negligence in condom use and exposure to risk of sexually transmitted infections in higher education: a paradox between information and practice RESUMO Infecções sexualmente transmissíveis (ISTs) são síndromes causadas por diversos microrganismos. Entre 2006 e 2016, a taxa de uma significativa IST, a AIDS (do inglês, Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome), quase triplicou entre homens de 15 a 19 anos e, entre os de 20 a 24 anos, mais que duplicou. Nesse contexto, o estudo objetiva identificar o risco à exposição de ISTs relacionado ao uso de preservativo em estudantes universitários. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de campo descritiva, quantitativa e transversal realizada no Centro Universitário UniEVANGÉLICA, Anápolis -Goiás, cuja amostra foi composta por estudantes dos primeiros e dos últimos períodos de engenharia civil, direito e medicina. Os participantes responderam o questionário adaptado da Pesquisa de Conhecimentos Atitudes e Práticas na População Brasileira (PCAP) e foram incluídos maiores de 18 anos. Dos 149 participantes incluídos, 49% (73/149) eram do sexo feminino e 51% (76/149) do sexo masculino. Os dados mostraram que indivíduos com 21 anos ou mais possuem mais chances de não utilizar o preservativo. Os primeiros períodos utilizam o preservativo com maior frequência em relação aos últimos. Ser do sexo masculino foi apontado como fator protetor ao uso da camisinha. Em relação aos cursos não foi encontrada diferença estatística (p>0,05) quanto à utilização da camisinha. Aqueles que não possuem parceria fixa alegaram usar mais frequentemente o método. Dos universitários, 61,8% referem adesão ao uso de preservativos, contudo, o risco de contrair ISTs/HIV/AIDS permanece elevado. Assim, os dados revelados no estudo contribuem para elaboração de ações e programas que focalizem não apenas a distribuição de preservativos, mas possibilitem a reflexão para tomada de atitudes como o autocuidado, a prevenção de doenças e a promoção da saúde sexual e reprodutiva.Palavras-Chave: IST. Analisar o conhecimento e as percepções dos médicos atuantes na Atenção Básica à Saúde (ABS), na Equipe de Saúde da Família (ESF), sobre a Medicina Integrativa (MI) e as Práticas Integrativas e Complementares (PIC’s) se faz imprescindível, para que mudanças sejam realizadas em prol da melhoria da atenção à saúde. A MI é uma estratégia adotada por vários países que enfrentaram um colapso em seu sistema de saúde. No Brasil, a realidade vivida é o domínio da MI pelos hospitais da rede privada e a falta de investimentos na rede pública, além do tímido desenvolvimento e inclusão dessa vertente no âmbito acadêmico e científico. Partindo do princípio da MI, como uma área da medicina reconhecida pelo Ministério da Saúde desde 2006, entender os motivos que estão levando a esse atraso na efetivação da MI, na percepção dos médicos, foi realizada esta pesquisa, utilizando-se de entrevistas qualitativas aplicadas a 10 médicos e questionários quantitativos a 43. Os resultados mostraram a falta de conhecimento por parte dos médicos sobre a MI e as PIC’s, decorrentes da ausência de contato com tal conteúdo na formação acadêmica e pela precária capacitação destes na ABS. Demonstrou, também, um descrédito por parte dos médicos no emprego das PIC’s, em virtude do reduzido número de evidências científicas. Entretanto, as PIC’s foram reconhecidas como estratégia de melhoria da qualidade do atendimento, fortalecimento da relação médico-paciente e redução dos custos, sendo expressos fortes anseios para a sua adoção.
Objetivo:Investigar sobre a prática de amamentação na primeira hora de vida e a pretensão de amamentar exclusivamente com leite materno até os seis meses. Métodos:A pesquisa foi realizada em um hospital amigo da criança, utilizando metodologia transversal, descritiva com abordagem quantitativa. Participaram da pesquisa 172 voluntárias. Os dados foram coletados através de um questionário autoaplicável elaborado pelos pesquisadores, o qual abordou perguntas socioeconômicas, condições do parto, fatores que influenciamno aleitamento materno. A coletada de dados ocorreu em uma maternidade de Anápolis-GO, entre os meses de novembro de 2015 e fevereiro de 2016. Resultados:Evidenciou-se que a amamentação foi iniciada na primeira hora de vida em 84,2% da amostra. Destaca-se que das mulheres que amamentaram na primeira hora, 43,6%, eram jovens e primíparas. Entre as que promoveram o aleitamento precoce 65,5% tiveram parto vaginal e entre as que não o promoveram 57,1% realizaram cesariana. A intenção de manter o Aleitamento Materno Exclusivo até os seis meses foi verbalizada por 72,1% dessas. Conclusão:O aleitamento materno na primeira hora de vida apresenta valores satisfatórios neste grupo, o que poderá influenciar positivamente a manutenção do aleitamento materno na população estudada. A pretensão de amamentar até os 6 meses se mostrou alta, contudo, avalia-se que existe a necessidade de intensificar as estratégias como educação em saúde, a fim de melhor orientar as mulheres sobre o processo da amamentação. A identificação dos fatores que interferem neste processo se caracteriza como uma das primeiras medidas a serem tomadas.
Objetivo: Relatar um caso raro de eosinofilia reacional em paciente portadora de estrongiloidíase infantil. Detalhamento do Caso: Trata-se de acompanhamento de paciente do sexo feminino, 2 anos de idade, com queixa principal de exantema maculopapular em membros inferiores. A paciente foi investigada clinicamente, durante quatro consultas médicas. Foi constatado de forma recorrente, via hemograma completo, uma eosinofilia importante, além de leucocitose, porém sem anormalidade em ultrassonografia do abdome total. Posteriormente, a paciente evoluiu para um quadro de febre persistente, bem como presença de larvas S. stercoralis em exame parasitológico de fezes, sendo possível correlacionar a alteração eosinofílica à verminose. Após prescrição de Nitazoxanida e Albendazol (40 mg), via oral, a paciente apresentou melhora, porém com alta leucocitose e eosinofilia persistente, valores normalizados em seguida. A título investigativo, foram solicitados exames de imagem, para averiguar possíveis focos infecciosos ou de infiltração no tórax e abdome, também normais. Considerações finais: Nota-se a possível existência de valores reacionais de eosinófilos secundários ao parasita infeccioso, em que pese a raridade com que demais síndromes relacionadas a eosinofilia ocorram em crianças. Faz-se necessário acompanhamento médico e realização de exames laboratoriais periódicos, para constante avaliação eosinofílica.
