This paper present a novel methodological approach in the design of integrated tactical telecommunications and computer networks for command information system and defining the elements for the OPNET simulation model. The elements proposed for design of network information architecture. For that purpose, the way established to set up relationships between elements that uses for network topologies design, building of network elements and network traffic. They are integrated with its parameters in the preliminary model defined by an OPNET simulation model. We propose the measure of efficiency for accomplishment of tactical command requirements to use the design model network. This measure of efficiency is mean time delay that described with mathematical relations, involving the communication parameters speed of generating traffic, packet size, link capacity and adequately reflects the projected network. Furthermore, the applications of the proposed approach and given instructions allow to designers full examination of the network architecture, and provide translation into preliminary model and design OPNET simulation model.
The paper investigates the performance properties of the new HTTP/3 protocol in IoT scenarios, with the focus on fog computing. A specific experimental environment is created, providing realistic IoT conditions. End-to-end delay and three different models for packet loss are introduced using the NetEm simulator in Linux. Three contemporary HTTP protocols are contrasted with two scenarios of IoT use. By comparing the experimental results obtained by the protocols HTTP/1, HTTP/2 and HTTP/3, it can be noticed that the protocol HTTP/3 outperforms the protocol HTTP/2 in 19 cases out of 24, yet it only outperforms HTTP/1 in 12 cases out of 24. Even if HTTP/3 is under development, it fulfils the requirements for performance and security for IoT and fog computing scenarios, involving unconstrained devices. With a lower connection overhead and an inherent security, HTTP/3 has secured a firm place for itself among other specialised IoT protocols.
Development of the blended learning environment integrating online and hands-on laboratory practices together with learning of theoretical concepts within engineering course in DSP is described in this paper. The student surveys concerning to Kolb's inventory of learning styles and preferred type of lab exercises are carried out. Survey results were discussed from the point of matching different learning styles with preferred type of DSP lab exercises.
Abstract-This study reveals comparison of behaviour patterns between students of medicine and IT students, regarding their use of forums and wiki. Olap techniques is used with in order to determine possible differences. The research was conducted based on the Moodle logs for learning management at Technical Faculty in Cacak, and Medical Faculty in Belgrade. Obtained results point towards the significant differences between these two groups, and the need for content adjustments in courses according to characteristics of different student sets.
The focus of this article is directed towards the practical usage of videoconference systems in different corporative scenarios, where the special attention is given to the VCON HD3000 system and its usage in corporative learning and arrangement of virtual meetings. Since the education of the human resources is necessary for the development and advancement of every company, the prime goal of the management is to find the ways for accomplishing the process of education on the highest level possible, together with the reduction of the following expenses. The purpose of this work is to show that it is exactly the use of video conferencing that could enable both of these, apparently exclusive goals. Visual collaboration products such as videoconferencing can increase the quality of users' business communication experience. By improving this experience, the frequency of use and productivity can grow.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
