Cakupan persalinan oleh tenaga kesehatan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Sungai Tabuk 2 Kabupaten Banjar menurun pada tahun 2014 ke 2015 mencapai 65,2% menjadi 64,5% begitu juga dengan cakupan K4 mencapai 68,5% pada tahun 2014 menjadi 63,5% pada tahun 2015 dan belum mencapai target yakni sebesar 95%. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisa hubungan riwayat frekuensi antenatal care (ANC) dengan pemilihan tenaga penolong persalinan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Sungai Tabuk 2 Kabupaten Banjar Tahun 2017. Metode dalam penelitian menggunakan survey analitik dengan menggunakan pendekatan case control. Populasi adalah seluruh ibu nifas di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Sungai Tabuk Kabupaten Banjar tahun 2016 yang berjumlah 229 orang dan sampel 63 orang dengan perbandingan antara kasus dan kontrol 1 : 2. Pengambilan sampel untuk kasus kontrol menggunakan random sampel secara acak sistematis. Instrumen menggunakan register kohort ibu dan lembar wawancara. Teknik analisa data dengan uji statistik chi-square dengan kepercayaan α= 0.05. Dari 40 orang yang memiliki riwayat frekuensi antenatal care sesuai standar minimal sebanyak 32 orang (76,2%) yang melahirkan ditolong oleh tenaga kesehatan dan dari 23 orang ada 10 orang (23,8%) yang tidak memiliki riwayat frekuensi antenatal care sesuai standar minimal melahirkan ditolong oleh tenaga kesehatan. Hasil uji statistik diketahui nilai ρ=0,007 ≤ α= 0.05, yaitu ada hubungan antara frekuensi antenatal care dengan pemilihan tenaga penolong persalinan. Secara statistik ada hubungan antara riwayat frekuensi antenatal care dengan pemilihan tenaga penolong persalinan di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Sungai Tabuk 2 Kabupaten Banjar Tahun 2017.
