Die Umsetzung der CUBE BOX stellt einen Meilenstein in der Entwicklung des Carbonbetonbaus im Hochbau dar. Zum ersten Mal entstand ein industriell gefertigtes Gebäude komplett aus Carbonbeton. Im Rahmen des Bauprojekts wurden Stahlbeton(halb)fertigteile in die Carbonbetonbauweise überführt. Ferner beschreibt der Beitrag die Integration von Aerogel‐Wärmedämmungen in den Betonfertigteilbau. Ausgehend von verschiedenen Problemstellungen bei der Planung der Carbonbetonbauteile sind die notwendigen Prozessschritte zur Herstellung und Montage der Halbfertigteilwände und der Fertigteildecken beschrieben. Eine besondere Herausforderung des Projekts war die Verwendung einer automatisierten Fertigungsstrecke im Betonfertigteilwerk. Im Detail erfolgt die Darstellung der wesentlichen Arbeitsschritte aus Praxissicht.
Bei der Planung und Entwicklung des CUBE wurden die bauphysikalischen Aspekte des Gebäudes betrachtet. Im Vorfeld erfolgten dafür verschiedene rechnerische und experimentelle Untersuchungen wie Simulationen zum Energiebedarf nach DIN V 18599. Der im Planungsprozess angestrebte Passivhausstandard konnte nicht realisiert werden. Messungen zur Luftschalldämmung des TWIST‐Bauteilaufbaus in einem Schallprüfstand zeigten keine schallschutztechnische Entkopplung der 4 cm dicken Wetterschale. Ferner ging aus raumakustischen Simulationsberechnungen hervor, dass die harten Oberflächen der Sichtbetonwände und der Sichtbetondecken sowie des Fußbodens und der Glasfassade zu einer ungünstigen Akustik mit langen Nachhallzeiten führen würde. Für die Entwicklung eines Feuchteschutzkonzepts wurden verschiedene theoretische Betrachtungen sowie Untersuchungen durchgeführt.
Mit steigenden Anforderungen an die Energieeffizienz von Gebäuden werden immer leistungsfähigere Dämmstoffe entwickelt. Die Technologie der Aerogele erreicht dabei besonders niedrige Wärmeleitfähigkeiten aufgrund ihrer Porengrößen im Nanometerbereich. Während sich Aerogele prinzipiell aus verschiedenen Ausgangsstoffen herstellen lassen, wird in diesem Artikel das Verhalten eines Aerogels auf Basis von Polyurethan unter realen Bedingungen untersucht. Der Einbau des Aerogels erfolgte in einem Wandelement, in der Dachterrasse und in Fensteranschlüssen eines Gebäudes. Auf Basis von Messdaten eines einjährigen Monitorings wurden die verschiedenen Anwendungen in hygrothermischen Simulationsmodellen validiert.
In dem Bericht werden die am Forschungshaus CUBE installierten Demonstratorflächen und ‐objekte aus Carbonbeton vorgestellt. Dazu gehören die Innenwände der Teeküche und Garderobe, die Versuchsstände und Austauschflächen im Fassadenbereich der BOX sowie verschiedene Ausstellungsobjekte im Außen‐ und Innenbereich. Dabei wird gezeigt, wie vielfältig und vorteilhaft Carbonbeton eingesetzt werden kann, z. B. als gestalterisches Element für raumgebende Bauteile oder als Teil von Inventar‐ und Möbeleinheiten. Er lässt sich vorspannen, aufheizen und an der Oberfläche bedrucken. Zudem können in Carbonbetonplatten elektrische Schaltelemente und Hochleistungsdämmungen integriert werden.
