Cerebral aneurysm is a disease that causes a blockage of blood in the arteries that connect to the brain. There are different types of aneurysms, but the vast majorities are from hereditary causes, from smoking, alcohol and drug use. This generates a series of symptoms ranging from headaches, loss of consciousness and even unintelligible communication. Treatments are diverse and depend on the characteristics of the aneurysm and the patient. One of the most used at the moment in the implementation of microstent by endovascular surgical intervention which produces less damage since it is less invasive than traditional treatments. The general objective of this research was based on analyzing the cerebral aneurysm through the application of a microstent by means of a surgical intervention. The methodology used was determined through descriptive, field and explanatory exploratory research. The results were taken into account based on the importance of the treatments for the cerebral aneurysm, the functionality of the microstent in the surgical intervention and the results and indications thereof after the postoperative microstent treatment. The conclusion that was made was that these endovascular treatments are less invasive so the risk of causing side effects decreases, as also its mechanism is much more acceptable because it generates a better response for the circulation of blood through the arteries.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
