Introdução: Apesar dos resultados positivos nos estudos acerca do Método Canguru, observa-se dificuldades na sua implementação e disseminação no sistema de saúde, como a ausência de recursos (humanos e financeiros) e diferenças do conhecimento teórico-prático. Objetivos: Identificar as diferenças teóricas e práticas sobre Método Canguru entre os profissionais das Unidades Neonatais de maternidades de alto risco de hospitais públicos e filantrópicos do Espírito Santo, bem como traçar o perfil dos profissionais de saúde atuantes desses serviços. Métodos: Estudo descritivo com caráter de pesquisa de levantamento, de abordagem quanti-qualitativa, aprovado sob o CAAE 42652621.5.0000.5060. A coleta de dados foi realizada por um questionário eletrônico (Google Forms), contendo perguntas abertas e fechadas, no período de maio a outubro de 2021. No total, 28 participantes de quatro instituições participaram da pesquisa. Os dados quantitativos foram analisados por meio de estatística descritiva. Para os dados qualitativos, foi realizada uma aproximação a análise de conteúdo. Resultados: A totalidade de profissionais do sexo feminino e maioria entre 31-40 anos. Um hospital refere possuir a maioria das categorias profissionais. Verificou-se que os profissionais apresentam dificuldade em compreender e implementar o método em sua totalidade. Diversos motivos foram citados enquanto barreiras e facilitadores para a adesão da equipe e implementação do método. Inúmeros benefícios foram elencados pelos profissionais. Conclusões: Faz-se necessário que as dificuldades para implantação e adesão do Método Canguru sejam analisadas de modo aprofundado e as ações de fortalecimento e disseminação sigam sendo praticadas e intensificadas, associadas a investimentos na humanização, educação continuada e infraestrutura.
Adolescence and youth have been topics of growing interest in Occupational Therapy, and specifically, the relation of this life cycle to the infraction acts has appeared more recently in the practices and research of Brazilian occupational therapists. This article is a literature review carried out in five databases using the terms "occupational therapy", "socio-educative measures", "socio-educational measures" and "socio-education". This research found 22 scientific productions, but only four were analyzed according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. In all selected texts, topics related to adolescence and youth were discussed, vulnerability, history of socio-educational measures, and questions about the daily life of young people in conflict with the law. The concepts and conceptions of the topics covered vary according to the theoretical line of the authors and there is a need for more scientific works being produced on the theme. Occupational Therapy is a profession that can contribute to the work to be developed with young people in compliance with socio-educational measures, in individual procedures, group actions, and/or in the management of the services available for the care of this population.
This study aimed to identify the impact of social distancing caused by the COVID-19 pandemic on the occupational profile of children and adolescents caregivers accompained by a multidisciplinary team. 34 caregivers participated by fulfilling a questionnaire composed of 31 questions. Quantitative data were analyzed descriptively and the content analysis was performed by open grid questions. The results of this study point to the intensification of the caregiver's role, absence of participation in leisure activities and the importance of involvement in significant activities that support and sustain health. Participants indicated strategies that were effective in coping with the impacts caused by the pandemic, such as leisure and prevetion activities. Further, it was observed that theses strategies were developed by the participants themselves, on the social networks or internet.
With the COVID-19 pandemic, the development of coping strategies to face the stress generated by the worldwide crisis of the new coronavirus became mandatory. Based on this, the purpose of this article is to analyze multimedia resources on video format for the digital platform Instagram as health education strategies to help puerperal women and their support networks during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is a descriptive methodological study based on the evaluation of content validity criterion by 21 postnatal judges, with an average age of 29.38 years. Most of them lived in the southeastern region of Brazil (n = 20) and had higher education (52.38%), followed by high school (38.09%). Content Validity Coefficients (CVC) ≥ 0.80 were adopted to validate language clarity, relevance, pertinence, and presentation of the videos. All CVC of the from the Series “Breastfeeding” were satisfactory between ≥ 0.85 and 1. With the exception of the 4th video (CVC ≥ 0.73) the videos from the Series “Neonatal Care” obtained CVC between ≥0,86 and 1. These results indicate that the target population considered the videos relevant, adequate, easy to understand and aesthetically pleasing. Accordingly, multimedia resources in video format can be considered a valid tool for the educational health proposal. Thus, the videos could help women during the postpartum period and their families to cope with the stress from the COVID-19 pandemic.
