La vida afectivo-sexual en la adolescencia está en constante evolución. En este sentido, hoy en día se continúa luchando por una educación sexual desde edades tempranas. Sin embargo, aunque los avances sean notables, esta educación sexual no es tan frecuente en las aulas ni de forma individualizada. Por este motivo, el estudio busca analizar diferentes variables de la conducta sexual de población adolescente, teniendo en cuenta diferencias de género. Para ello, 250 adolescentes (50% mujeres y 50% hombres), de entre 12 y 16 años, cumplimentaron una batería de preguntas online acerca de su historia afectivo-sexual. Entre los resultados, cabe destacar que el 66,4% de los hombres se habían masturbado en alguna ocasión, con edad de inicio a los 10-11 años (M = 10,22; DT = 4,54). Por otro lado, las mujeres habían llevado a cabo esta práctica en un 29%, con edad de inicio más frecuente a los 12-13 años (M = 12,69; DT = 3,11). El 35,2% de los hombres y el 37,1% de las mujeres habían tenido parejas sentimentales alguna vez, y el 36,4% y 47,8%, respectivamente, tienen en la actualidad. Respecto a las prácticas sexuales, el 21,6% de los hombres y el 21% de las mujeres han mantenido relaciones sexuales alguna vez. En conclusión, los resultados enfatizan la necesidad de abrir los ojos ante la realidad del inicio temprano de la actividad sexual, con el fin de promover la necesidad de una educación sexual temprana.
La literatura científica recoge un amplio número de investigaciones que destacan el impacto del maltrato infantil, incluyendo el abuso sexual infantil (ASI), sobre la salud mental. Sin embargo, los estudios que exploran y relacionan estas variables en muestras de adolescentes en medidas judiciales todavía son escasos. Por ello, el objetivo principal de esta investigación fue analizar la prevalencia del maltrato infantil en la historia de vida de estos adolescentes, las diferencias de género en diferentes tipos de maltrato y la posible relación entre el maltrato infantil, la regulación emocional y la autoestima. Se administró la adaptación de la Child Abuse and Trauma scale (CAT), la subescala de abuso sexual del Juvenile Victimization Questionnaire (JVQ), la Escala de Dificultades en la Regulación Emocional (DERS) y la escala de Autoestima de Rosenberg (RSE) a 30 adolescentes (22 hombres y 8 mujeres) de entre 15 y 17 años (M=16,33; DT=0,76) de una residencia socioeducativa de Castellón (España). En el caso del CAT, solo se encontraron diferencias de género estadísticamente significativas en el ítem de experiencias sexuales traumáticas pasadas (U=49; p=.009). Las mujeres informaron de más experiencias de este tipo. Sin embargo, en el JVQ no se encontraron diferencias en este sentido. Un 20% de adolescentes informó haber sido víctima de ASI, el 13,6% de los hombres y el 37,5% de las mujeres. Por lo que respecta a la relación entre las variables, se encontró una asociación estadísticamente significativa con signo negativo entre la regulación emocional y la autoestima (r=-.599; p=.009). Conocer en profundidad la relación entre las experiencias de maltrato en la infancia y el desarrollo de problemas de salud mental en adolescentes que han cometido un delito podría ser útil para desarrollar estrategias dirigidas no solo a la reducción de la reincidencia, sino a la mejora de la salud mental de este colectivo.
Los programas de educación afectivo-sexual son imprescindibles para las personas con trastorno del desarrollo intelectual (PTDI), dadas las dificultades a las que se enfrentan para adquirir los conocimientos y las actitudes necesarias que les permitan protegerse de los abusos sexuales, así como disfrutar de la sexualidad de forma saludable. Estos programas para ser efectivos deben estar adaptados al grado de necesidades de apoyo del grupo al que va dirigido. Por ello, se adaptó el Programa Saludiversex, dirigido a personas con necesidades de apoyo intermitente, a las características de las personas con necesidades de apoyo limitado derivadas de un trastorno del desarrollo intelectual moderado (TDIM) y/o con bajo nivel de lectoescritura (Saludiversex-M). Así pues, el objetivo de este trabajo fue analizar si los participantes incrementaron su nivel de conocimientos y adquirieron las actitudes adecuadas para desarrollar una sexualidad saludable mediante la aplicación de este programa, que está compuesto por 10 sesiones. 50 PTDIM (el 62% son hombres y el 38% son mujeres) con una edad media de 38,58 años (DT=11,46) participaron en este estudio. Se aplicó un cuestionario diseñado ad hoc para evaluar el nivel de conocimientos y actitudes, antes y después de cada sesión. Los resultados indican que hay diferencias significativas entre el pretest y postest en las nueve sesiones (p<0,000), obteniendo los participantes mayor puntuación tras la implementación de cada sesión. Así mismo, estos hallazgos sugieren que el programa es potencialmente eficaz y, por ende, que el material didáctico y de evaluación de Saludiversex-M es accesible para las PTDIM y/o con bajo nivel de lectoescritura. Aunque estos resultados son prometedores, es importante destacar que se precisan análisis más exhaustivos para concluir con alta evidencia científica que el programa es eficaz.
