Objetivou-se neste estudo avaliar o conhecimento de alunos do Ensino Fundamental sobre as principais zoonoses urbanas, utilizando educação ambiental como ferramenta de ensino. O público-alvo nesta pesquisa foi uma turma contendo 17 discentes do 9° ano do ensino fundamental. Durante a primeira parte do estudo foi realizada uma entrevista estruturada por meio da aplicação de questionários, contendo 13 questões subjetivas e de múltipla escolha, para que os alunos tivessem liberdade para expressar seus conhecimentos acerca do tema zoonoses e saúde pública. Por fim, as dúvidas dos alunos foram sanadas por meio de palestra e roda de discussão. Constatou-se que a maioria dos alunos possuem pouco conhecimento sobre o conceito de zoonoses, bem como, os meios de transmissão, especialmente leishmaniose e toxoplasmose. Percebe-se que existe uma deficiência na educação básica no que diz respeito a este conteúdo. Os dados desta pesquisa poderão ser utilizados pelos órgãos municipais competentes para o delineamento de estratégias educativas, visando sanar estas deficiências. Consideramos que oficinas de educação ambiental, palestras, campanhas e distribuição de panfletos informativos são medidas de relevantes para divulgação de conhecimentos sobre as principais doenças causadas pelos animais e as medidas necessárias para a prevenção destas enfermidades.
Partindo da necessidade de reflexão acerca da docência universitária, objetivou-se por meio desta revisão de literatura discutir os processos de formação pedagógica, bem como, os principais fatores responsáveis pelos desencontros entre a teoria e a prática pedagógica no ensino superior. Compreendeu-se que grande parte dos Programas de Pós-graduação priorizam a formação de pesquisadores com aprofundamento científico e, em contrapartida, pouca bagagem pedagógica, justamente por deixar em segundo plano os aspectos pedagógicos da formação profissional. Contudo, o profissional poderá lançar mão de alternativas, tais como a formação pedagógica complementar, à medida que o profissional em nível de mestrado e doutorado das diferentes áreas poderá realizar disciplinas que contemplem as discussões pedagógicas em Programas de Pós-Graduação da área de educação, ou ainda realizar especialização em didática, com intuito de contemplar os múltiplos saberes de ordem pedagógica, e, assim, suprir as lacunas na sua formação. Por meio da reflexão e ação docente, poderemos conceber os primeiros passos para alcançar um processo de ensino e aprendizagem de melhor qualidade.
Queixada é um mamífero pertencente à família Tayassuidae. Na natureza, desempenha um importante papel na recomposição e manutenção das florestas, por atuar na dispersão e predação de sementes e plântulas. Contudo, devido à caça e destruição de seu hábitat a espécie encontra-se em declínio ao longo da sua área de ocorrência, sendo, portanto, classificada como vulnerável pela União Internacional para Conservação da Natureza. Desta forma, medidas que evitem a extinção dessa espécie precisam ser estudadas. Portanto, objetivou-se, por meio desta revisão crítica e sistemática de literatura, trazer uma compilação de dados para que se possa compreender a biologia dos queixadas e, consequentemente, contribuir com alternativas para reprodução da espécie em cativeiro, visando a sua conservação. A criação sustentável de queixada em cativeiro, além de apresentar-se como estratégia de conservação, por aumentar sua população, possibilita sua reintrodução em áreas onde ocorreram extinções da espécie, possibilitando de amenizar a pressão de caça sobre animais de vida livre, reduzindo, portanto, o declínio populacional desta espécie vulnerável à extinção.
