We analyze the development of educational (EDU) web portals from the perspective of meta-design. Here, we focus on the technical issues of meta-design only and consider design-for-change. Our contribution is a variability model based on the variability analysis, generic portal development processes, sub-processes and their relationships. We analyze the interface design problem in the context of the EDU Portal development and consider the implementation of the proposed model using meta-programming.
Absrroct -We analyse ICT-based learning and .consider the problem for generation of elearning-oriented WEB pages. We propose a metamodel for analysis of the problem domain as well as a metamodel for the solution domain. We represent the problem domain as a fmed set of the pre-specified parameter values and their relationships. We describe the solution domain at a higher-level as a metaspecification, which expresses parameter-based variability sod is implemented using the metaprogramming techniques. The lower-level of the model describes different aspects of the teaching content such as structure, representation and management. We deliver some details of the experimental system that implements the proposed approach.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
