MRI plays important roles in endometrial and cervical cancer assessment, from detection to recurrent disease evaluation. Endometrial cancer (EC) is the most common malignant tumor of the female genital tract in Western countries. EC patients are divided into risk categories based on histopathological tumor type, grade, and myometrial invasion depth. EC is surgically staged using the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) system. Since FIGO (2009) stage correlates with prognosis, preoperative staging is essential for tailored treatment. MRI reveals myometrial invasion depth, which correlates with tumor grade and lymph node metastases, and thus correlates with prognosis. Cervical cancer (CC) is the second most common cancer, and the third leading cause of cancer-related death among females in developing countries. The FIGO Gynecologic Oncology Committee recently revised its CC staging guidelines, allowing staging based on imaging and pathological findings when available. The revised FIGO (2018) staging includes node involvement and thus enables both therapy selection and evaluation, prognosis estimation, and calculation of end results. MRI can accurately assess prognostic indicators, e.g., tumor size, parametrial invasion, pelvic sidewall, and lymph node invasion. Despite these important roles of MRI, radiologists still face challenges due to the technical and interpretation pitfalls of MRI during all phases of endometrial and cervical cancer evaluation. Awareness of mimics that can simulate both cancers is critical. With careful application, functional MRI with DWI and DCE sequences can help establish a correct diagnosis, although it is sometimes necessary to perform biopsy and histopathological analysis.

Introduction. Imaging is essential in the assessment of endovascular infrarenal abdominal aortic repair results. Complications include endoleaks, graft migration, kinking and infolding, stenosis, occlusion, and secondary ruptures. Examination Modalities. Contemporary imaging strategies are based on using noninvasive imaging modalities. After endovascular infrarenal abdominal aortic repair, the standard evaluation modality is computed tomography angiography, whereas additional modalities include magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasonography, and radiography. However, although an invasive imaging method, digital subtraction angiography is still performed in some patients. Computed tomography angiography provides excellent contrast, spatial resolution, and exact measurements of structures of interest, which is essential in the follow-up. Follow-up Protocol. Currently recommended follow-up protocol in the first year is contrast- enhanced computed tomography imaging at 1 and 12 months after the procedure. Conclusion. Due to its characteristics, reproducibility and availability, computed tomography angiography remains the cornerstone diagnostic modality of post-procedural assessment in patients with endovascular infrarenal abdominal aortic repair.

Introduction/Objective. Coagulopathy induced by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 infection (SARS-CoV-2) can be an underlying cause of cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST), a less common type of stroke with a variable clinical presentation and high mortality rate. Objective: to present a series of CVST cases associated with SARS-CoV-2 infection. Methods. This retrospective study evaluated clinical, laboratory and radiological presentation, risk factors, barriers to diagnosis, treatment and outcome of patients with SARS-CoV-2 infection induced CVST. Results. The study comprised 6 patients diagnosed with COVID-19 induced CVST during the 18 months period. Majority (66.7%) had no significant risk factors for developing CVST. Median time from initial COVID-19 diagnosis to onset of neurologic deficit was 7 days (interquartile range 0.5-7 days). Clinical presentation comprised non specific neurological symptoms: headache (83.3%) and decreased consciousness (33.3%), together with elevated levels of D-dimer and inflammatory biomarkers. The transverse (n = 4 or 66.7%), superior sagittal sinuses (n = 3 or 50%) and sigmoid sinus (n = 2 or 33.3%) were most commonly affected. Five patients (83.3%) had minimal to no symptoms at discharge (mRS ? 2). In-hospital mortality in our current series was relatively high (16.7%). Conclusion. The high mortality rate of SARS-CoV-2-associated CVST urges clinicians to suspect CVST in patients with a history of COVID-19 infection presenting with non-specific neurological symptoms in order to provide proper treatment and prevent complications.
