The aim of this research was to define the structure of the quality of life of young athletes. The study was conducted on a sample of 343 young athletes (both gender), average age 15.1 years in Zagreb. The quality of life of the participants in this study was estimated using the Croatian version of the Questionnaire of quality of life for children and adolescents The Kidscreen Questionnaire (The Kidscreen Group Europe, 2006), (Lorger, 2011). The construct quality of life, which is estimated by the questionnaire, includes monitoring the quality of life through elements of physical, emotional, social, and behavioural well-being. Descriptive statistic was calculated, and psychometric characteristics of the Croatian version of The Kidscreen - 52 questionnaire were tested. To determine the factor structure, the component model was chosen with extracting principal components for the Guttman–Kaiser criterion (GK criterion). Eleven factors for the quality of life were extracted representing hypothetical dimensions of the quality of life, related to the psychological well-being, family and home life, relationships with friends, bullying, use of free time, physical well-being, school environment, self-perception, money, unpleasant emotions and moods, and hanging out with friends.Key words: factor analysis, young athletes, quality of life, questionnaire The Kidscreen-52-----SAŽETAKSvrha istraživanja bila je definiranje strukture kvalitete života mladih sportaša. Istraživanje je provedeno na uzorku od 343 mlada sportaša (oba spola), prosječne dobi 15.1 godina u gradu Zagrebu. Kvaliteta života sudionika ovog istraživanja procijenjena je pomoću hrvatske verzije Upitnika kvalitete života za djecu i adolescente The Kidscreen Questionnaire (The Kidscreen Group Europe, 2006), (Lorger, 2011). Konstrukt kvalitete života, koji se procjenjuje ovim upitnikom uključuje promatranje kvalitete života kroz elemente tjelesne, emocionalne, socijalne i bihevioralne dobrobiti. Deskriptivnim statističkim metodama izračunati su deskriptivni parametri, te je izvršena provjera metrijskih karakteristika hrvatske verzije The Kidscreen - 52 upitnika. Za određivanje faktorske strukture izabran je komponentni model s ekstrakcijom glavnih komponenti po Guttman – Kaiserovom kriteriju (GK kriterij). Izlučeno je 11 faktora kvalitete života mladih sportaša koji predstavljaju jedanaest hipotetskih dimenzija kvalitete života, a odnose se na psihološku dobrobit, obiteljsko okruženje, odnose s prijateljima, nasilje među mladima, korištenje slobodnog vremena, tjelesnu dobrobit, zadovoljstvo školom, samopoimanje, novčane resurse, neugodne emocije i raspoloženja, te na druženje s prijateljima. The aim of the paper was to determine metric characteristics of the coordination and precision test named “ball-foot-wall” (Bös, 2001 according to Crnokić, 2011) on a sample of early and pre-school education students. The study sample consisted of 25 students first and second year of the Faculty of teacher education in Petrinja. Next to descriptive statistics, normality of distribution was tested, coefficients of reliability and the average correlation between the particles. Factor structure was checked with component analysis. The results showed satisfactory values of reliability coefficients. The isolated factor “covered up” 72.19% of the total value of the correlation matrix and indicates the existence of a common object of measurement, in this case, motoric skills coordination and precision. Although, the test was intended for use with children, age 6-11, to verify Universal sports school participants’ skills (Bös, 2001 according to Crnokić, 2011) its use with elderly participants showed good metric characteristics and can be used in practice with this age group of students. Given to the small number of participants in the study for further determination of metric characteristics of this test it is recommended significantly larger sample.Key words: motor skills, female students, early and pre-school education---SažetakCilj rada je utvrditi metrijske karakteristike testa koordinacije i preciznosti ,,Lopta – noga – zid“ na uzorku studentica ranog i predškolskog odgoja i obrazovanja. Uzorak sudionica u istraživanju činilo je 25 studentica prve i druge godine Učiteljskog fakulteta Odsjeka u Petrinji. Uz deskriptivnu statistiku testiran je normalitet distribucija, izračunati su koeficijenti pouzdanosti i prosječna korelacija među česticama. Faktorska struktura provjerena je komponentnom analizom. Dobiveni rezultati pokazali su zadovoljavajuće vrijednosti u koeficijentima pouzdanosti. Izolirani faktor ,,pokriva“ 72,19 % ukupne vrijednosti matrice korelacije čestica te ukazuje na postojanje zajedničkog predmeta mjerenja u ovom slučaju sposobnosti koordinacije i preciznosti. Iako je test namijenjen za korištenje u dobi od 6 do 11 godina za provjeru sposobnosti polaznika Univerzalne sportske škole njegova primjena kod starijih ispitanika pokazala je dobra metrijska svojstva i mogućnost primjene u praksi kod ove skupine studentica. S obzirom na mali broj sudionika u istraživanju preporuča se daljnja provjera njegovih metrijskih karakteristika na osjetno većem uzorku. Orienteering as a sporting and competitive as well as recreational and educational activity is increasingly being carried out by various sports associations, hikers and other amateur sportspeople. Its implementation involves class and subject teachers in schools, especially those involved in the GLOBE programme. The aim of this paper is to examine the presence of orienteering or some of its elements in the school and subject plans and programmes of both lower and higher grades of primary as well as secondary schools in the Republic of Croatia, and a possible role of orienteering in promoting cross-curricular teaching. Because of the desire to supplement the teaching methods and forms of work with more work outside the classroom, the purpose of this paper is to contribute to forming a justified demand for incorporating orienteering in the primary school curriculum in Croatia. Since orienteering is particularly significant from the point of view of Geography and Physical Education teaching, the existing curricula of the two subjects have been analysed to identify possible cross-curricular links. This paper presents the results of the research conducted in 2017 and 2018 on a sample of 146 Geography and Physical Education teachers from Croatia. The results indicate that teachers are familiar with these activities. Although they recognize the potential in terms of the wish to integrate some contents into teaching plans and programmes, as well as contribute to cross-curricular teaching, the content of orienteering is implemented very rarely or not at all in primary, and even less, in secondary schools. The results of this research also point to the lack of class and subject teacher competences and their poor knowledge of this area.Key words: correlation; Geography; orienteering; out-of-classroom teaching; Physical Education.Orijentaciju kao sportsko-natjecateljsku, rekreacijsku ili edukacijsku aktivnost sve učestalije provode različite sportske udruge, planinari i drugi rekreativci. U njezinu provođenju sudjeluju iučitelji i nastavnici u kolama, naročito onima uključenim u GLOBE program.Cilj rada je ispitati uključenost orijentacijskog trčanja ili nekih njegovih sadržaja u programe rada kola i predmeta u viim razredima osnovne kole i u srednjim kolama Republike Hrvatske te moguću ulogu orijentacijskog trčanja u poticanju interdisciplinarnosti u nastavi. Zbog želje za upotpunjavanjem nastavnih metoda i oblika rada većom količinom rada izvan učionice, svrha rada je pridonijeti oblikovanju argumentiranog zahtjeva za ugrađivanje orijentacijskog trčanja u kurikul osnovne kole u Hrvatskoj. Budući da je orijentacijsko trčanje naročito značajno s gledita nastave Geografije i Tjelesne i zdravstvene kulture, radi identificiranja njihovih korelacijskih veza analizirani su postojeći nastavni programi dvaju predmeta. U radu se iznose i rezultati istraživanja provedenog 2017. i 2018. godine na uzorku od 146 učitelja i nastavnika Geografije i Tjelesne i zdravstvene kulture iz Hrvatske. Rezultati ukazuju da su učitelji upoznati s ovom aktivnoću pa iako prepoznaju njezin potencijal u smislu želje za njenom ugradnjom u planove i programe rada kao i doprinos međupredmetnoj korelaciji, sadržaji orijentacijskog trčanja se vrlo rijetko ili uopće ne provode u osnovnim, a jo manje u srednjim kolama. Rezultati ovog istraživanja također su ukazali na nedostatak kompetencija učitelja i nastavnika i njihovo nesnalaženje u ovom području.Ključne riječi: Geografija, korelacija, orijentacija, rad izvan učionice, Tjelesna i zdravstvena kultura
