A partir del análisis de una cooperativa y un grupo cooperativo en la región de Lauragais, Francia, se pretende explorar las consecuencias que el actual contexto de globalización y concentración posee para las cooperativas agrícolas, en términos de su organización interna, los vínculos que establecen con sus asociados, y las estrategias que llevan adelante a fin de adaptarse al cambio. Se reconoce en el análisis que ambas experiencias son atravesadas por la tensión entre el logro de la eficiencia en tanto empresas operadas colectivamente, y el fomento de la participación, democracia y solidaridad en tanto cooperativas, mostrando –con ciertos matices- una mayor valoración del primer objetivo.
El artículo tiene como objetivo la descripción y análisis de políticas públicas de Economía Social y Solidaria (ESS) de escala subnacional, implementadas en la ciudad de Santa Fe, Argentina, durante el periodo 2011-2015. En ese momento se crean la Subsecretaría de Economía Social a nivel provincial y la Dirección de Economía Social a nivel local, y con ello la temática de ESS se instala en la agenda de gobierno. El análisis se enfoca en dos políticas que surgen de la articulación de escalas estatales: el Programa Ideas en Marcha, y el Centro de Emprendedores de la Economía Social, este último como un espacio de cogestión de políticas públicas, en el cual también interviene la Universidad Nacional del Litoral. A partir de entrevistas semi estructuradas a informantes clave en el ámbito de la gestión de las políticas públicas y del análisis de documentos, se describirán las principales características de dichas políticas tanto en el momento de su diseño como en su implementación, destacando los logros alcanzados, como así también las principales dificultades y desafíos que se presentan.
Propósito: este artículo se propone analizar la trayectoria y reconfiguración de una experiencia asociativa de pequeños productores y productoras agrícolas de una zona semi-rural de la provincia de Santa Fe (Argentina). Descripción: se indaga acerca de la sostenibilidad -en sentido plural- de este tipo de prácticas de la Economía Social y Solidaria (ESyS), así como en la participación de las mujeres en estos espacios. Esto posibilita integrar la dimensión de género en un análisis que problematiza sobre las posibilidades de permanencia de dichas prácticas laborales. Punto de vista: se parte de las discusiones actuales en torno a las concepciones de la sostenibilidad en la ESyS como nuevas formas de trabajo asociativas, colectivas y familiares, incorporando la perspectiva de género como una mirada necesaria en los procesos socio-económicos, para finalmente analizar a la luz de estas conceptualizaciones el caso bajo estudio. Conclusión: en este tipo de organizaciones, y en términos de sostenibilidad, resulta indispensable considerar los lazos y vínculos de confianza que se generan al interior de las mismas, que permitan sostener arreglos asociativos y la cohesión grupal, además del aporte y vínculo que tiene el ámbito privado del hogar, en tanto ámbito en que confluyen los trabajos de producción y de reproducción y que posibilita sostener los niveles de vida de los integrantes.
En un contexto de importante crecimiento del cooperativismo de trabajo ocurrido principalmente desde la década de los noventa y profundizado a partir del 2000, las organizaciones de segundo grado que nuclean a dichas cooperativas han cobrado impulso como mecanismos de promoción del sector. Partiendo de la descripción de estos procesos, y reconociendo las potencialidades que las organizaciones intercooperativas presentan tanto hacia el interior del sector como para con la sociedad, en este artículo se busca reflexionar y analizar un caso particular de reciente constitución, una federación de cooperativas de trabajo de la ciudad Santa Fe, Argentina. Para ello, se indaga en las motivaciones y necesidades que dieron origen a la federación, y el modo en que se intenta responder a ellas a partir de los objetivos y acciones que se plantean, además de caracterizar a los actores que la conforman y los vínculos que se establecen entre ellos, así como con otros actores institucionales. Finalmente, se procura reconocer las potencialidades que se presentan para el sector cooperativo de la región, a la vez de reflexionar acerca de la complejidad intrínseca de las experiencias de trabajo asociativo mercantil y de la integración intercooperativa en el desarrollo de objetivos comunes.
