Three P,N-rhenium tricarbonyl complexes exhibited photoisomerization upon irradiation at 365 nm, and no CO release was detected. The antibacterial activity is attributed to their singlet oxygen generation, following the same decreasing order: RePNBr > RePNTfO > RePNNBr.
Three hexadentate Schiff base ligands were obtained by condensation of 3-ethoxy-2hydroxybenzaldehyde and different diamines (1,2-diaminoethane, 1,2-diaminopropane, 1,2-diamino-2-metylpropane) to yield H 2 L n (H 2 L 1 , H 2 L 2 and H 2 L 3 , respectively). The ligands have been characterised by elemental analysis, IR, and 1 H and 13 C NMR spectroscopic techniques, mass spectrometry (ES) and X-ray diffraction.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
