El proceso de mejora continua es clave en la calidad de los servicios de salud, por lo cual es necesario realizar evaluaciones constantes, que permitan controlar las acciones como un engranaje perfecto para mejorar las capacidades entre actores del sistema de salud. Objetivo: evaluar la percepción de la calidad de los servicios de salud a través del modelo SERVQUAL y la actuación de la cooperación internacional durante la pandemia COVID-19 en un hospital de baja de complejidad en el caribe colombiano. Metodología: se realizó de un estudio observacional de tipo descriptivo en temporalidad prospectiva, el análisis de los datos se realizó a través del programa estadístico informático SPSS. La encuesta se aplicó a 107 personas seleccionadas en un muestreo aleatorio simple que recibieron atención médica durante el año 2020. Resultados: las dimensiones mejor puntuadas fueron empatía y seguridad, mientras que capacidad de respuesta presentó la menor puntuación. El promedio de la percepción general sobre la calidad del servicio de salud se estimó en 4,90 lo que corresponde a una percepción positiva regular considerando que el valor máximo posible de calificación por los usuarios era de 7,0. Con lo que respecta a la cooperación internacional el 30% de los sujetos manifestaron haber escuchado ocasionalmente sobre la participación de la misma. Conclusión: la pandemia COVID-19 afectó sin lugar a dudas las dimensiones propuestas para la calidad de la atención en salud y la cooperación internacional tuvo una imagen positiva en beneficio de la respuesta y la ayuda durante la emergencia sanitaria.
