Caminhando por algumas ruas e praças da cidade de São Paulo, nos domingos de todo o ano e em dias de festa comunitária boliviana, vamos percorrendo localidades altiplânicas (Appadurai 1996) erguidas a três mil quilômetros de distância do Altiplano andino. Milhares de transmigrantes andinos bolivianos reelaboram suas dinâmicas culturais e afetivas através da criação de redes transnacionais (Glick Schiller, Basch e Szanton 1992), comerciais e simbólicas. Também através do musicar autóctone (Small 1998), especialmente da prática musical de repertório e tocadores aymaras e quechuas, se fortalecem as estruturas afetivas que constituem e afirmam performática e sinestesicamente localidades altiplânicas indígenas. Por meio da articulação teórico-etnográfica de base antropológica e etnomusicológica, buscamos refletir sobre como o Centro Cultural Kollasuyo Maya, grupo autóctone de formação aymara e quechua, ao ativar e integrar redes entre pessoas e coletivos indígenas, imigrantes e paulistanos, vai musicalizando e localizando o Altiplano andino boliviano em São Paulo.
