“Personalmente les confesaré mi temor a vivir en un mundo dominado por expertos sin alma, a merced de especialistas que saben casi todo acerca de muy poco y casi nada acerca de todo lo demás, de las cosas que verdaderamente importan.” (Poupard, 2005, p. 89). Estas fueron las palabras que el Cardenal Paul Poupard dirigió a la Universidad San Pablo-CEU el 28 de mayo de 2001, en Madrid-España; manifestando su gran temor en la misión que posee la Universidad en la formación integral de sus alumnos. Nosotros, agregando de modo personal a estas palabras sabias, esta pequeña parte: “(...) y que no toleran ni conviven, sino que viven en una sociedad en “guerra’“; quisiéramos ilustrar y manifestar la tarea que la Universidad tiene con la convivencia y la tolerancia en el ambiente escolar. Por ende, en este artículo se tratará de mostrar la importancia sobre la tolerancia en la convivencia universitaria, como herramienta formativa, la cual nos servirá para ser protagonistas de una época y de una humanidad que cambia, se repiensa y configura permanentemente.
