W artykule przedstawione zostaną sposoby funkcjonowania studentów pierwszych lat, którzy rozpoczęli studia na Uniwersytecie Zielonogórskim w roku akademickim 2020/2021. Wówczas w Polsce na wszystkich uczelniach obowiązywała nauka zdalna, prowadzona z zastosowaniem odpowiednich narzędzi internetowych. Zasadne wydawało się pytanie o konsekwencje takiej sytuacji dla studentów. W warunkach normalnych podjęcie nauki w szkole wyższej wiąże się często z wyprowadzką z domu, podjęciem dodatkowej pracy, większym zakresem samodzielności, tj. wystąpieniem klasycznych markerów dorosłości. W warunkach pandemii ten proces nawet się nie rozpoczął. Studenci pozostali w swoich domach pod opieką rodziców. Stawiamy tezę, iż zdalna edukacja spowodowała dekompozycję klasycznych desygnatów roli studenta. Po zakończeniu fazy adolescencji i zamknięciu/wygaśnięciu roli ucznia szkoły średniej nie nastąpiło przejście do roli studenta i do fazy wczesnej dorosłości w takim wymiarze, jak odbyłoby się to w trybie normalnym.
Podstawowym celem artykułu jest podjęcie próby odpowiedzi na pytanie o to, co może spowodować przeobrażenia migracji czasowych Ukraińców przebywających w Polsce w pobyty stałe/migracje osiadłe; jakiego rodzaju „kotwice” są potrzebne (i realizowane) w procesie przekształcania się charakteru i wzoru migracji? Empiryczną podstawę do realizacji tak postawionego celu daje 36 wywiadów przeprowadzonych wśród obywateli ukraińskich zatrudnionych w Polsce w 2019 r. Teoretycznej inspiracji dostarczyła koncepcja społecznego zakotwiczania, która odnosi się do procesu poszukiwania życiowych punktów oparcia – kotwic, pozwalających jednostkom na osiągnięcie psychospołecznej stabilizacji i na efektywne funkcjonowanie w nowych warunkach.
