In order to establish a causal relationship between the disease of the population and the activities of the chemical weapons storage and destruction facility «Pochep», the article analyzes the morbidity indicators of the population of the Pochepsky district of the Bryansk region and assesses the contribution to the development of diseases from sources of atmospheric air pollution of the Pochep OKHUHO, and also calculates the risk of its development in the population, taking into account the work to eliminate the consequences of the activities of the Pochep OKHUHO. The assessment of the risk to public health from chemical pollution of the atmospheric air of the OHUHO «Pochep» did not reveal a causal relationship between the diseases of the population living in the zone of protective measures and the activities of the object «Pochep».
