O PAPEL GERENCIAL DO ENFERMEIRO EM UNIDADES DE EMERGÊNCIA ResumoO cuidado inerente ao enfermeiro é fundamentado na ciência e tecnologia, porém suas responsabilidades não se limitam apenas à assistência. A compreensão do processo de administrar desempenhado pelo enfermeiro é imprescindível para uma adequada assistência ao indivíduo e à sociedade, deste modo, este estudo objetivou descrever o papel do enfermeiro nas atividades gerenciais realizadas em unidades de emergência. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa descritivo-exploratória, realizada por meio de levantamento e análise bibliográfica de publicações entre os anos de 2011 e 2016, nas bases de dados da BVS, LILACS e associadas ao SciELO. Verificaram-se como aspectos fundamentais na gestão do enfermeiro na emergência: gestão da superlotação, dimensionamento de pessoal, previsão e provisão de recursos, o planejamento do cuidado, pensamento crítico e gerência do cuidado, a liderança, supervisão, articulação/gerenciamento de conflitos e tomada de decisão. O profissional enfermeiro caracteriza-se como agente articulador, com capacidade de estabelecer conexões, sensibilizar e promover o trabalho em equipe a fim de desenvolver melhores práticas assistenciais nos serviços de emergência através de seu papel gerencial. Nurses' management role in emergency units AbstractThe care inherent to nurses is based on science and technology, but their responsibilities are not limited only to assistance. Understanding the process of managing played by nurses is essential for appropriate assistance to the individual and society; therefore, this study aimed to describe the role of nurses in management activities in emergency units. This is a descriptive and exploratory integrative review, carried out by means of a bibliographic review of publications between the years 2011 and 2016, in the VHL databases, LILACS and in the ones associated with SciELO. The main aspects verified in nursing management in emergency were: management of overcrowding, staff sizing, prediction and provision of resources, care planning, critical thinking and care management, leadership, supervision, coordination/ management conflict and decision making. The professional nurse is characterized as a coordinating agent, with the ability to make connections and raise awareness and promote teamwork in order to develop better care practices in emergency services by means of their management role.
The emergence of the Psychosocial Care Network allowed general hospitals to become doors for psychiatric emergencies in Brazil. However, there are still obstacles in the provision of care to patients in psychiatric settings, with a dehumanized approach by part and of professionals working in emergency services of general hospitals. The study aimed to analyze the knowledge of nurses working in the emergencies of general hospitals about evaluation and conduct in psychiatric emergencies. The years 2010 and 2019 concentrated the largest number of publications with predominance of descriptive publications with a qualitative approach. The nurses had little knowledge about the approach to patients in psychiatric crisis in emergencies. Given the pandemic situation of the new coronavirus, cardiorespiratory arrest becomes a huge challenge for the entire multidisciplinary team, bringing extra risks to health professionals. This study aimed to present the aspects related to the management of cases of Cardiorespiratory Arrest in patients suspected or confirmed for COVID-19. This was an integrative review where the collection was carried out at the Virtual Health Library during March 2021. We identified 17 articles and, after selective and exploratory reading, 08 articles were selected to make up the study sample. Care for patients suspected or confirmed for COVID-19 follows national and international protocols and guidelines. Changes in professional Para mentation, early defibrillation and care were observed in the performance of chest compressions and ventilation. It is necessary to encourage the permanent education of health teams in order to improve the quality of care and enable these protective measures for professionals.
