Introduction: The elderly population in the world, a growing trend in the demographic dynamics, for this reason, nursing care practices require the systematization and synthesis of the scientific evidence about cultural competence and transcultural nursing to improve the quality of care to this population. We ask ourselves: what are and what is the validity and usefulness of existing evidence about the practices of care to the elderly taking into account cultural competence and transcultural theory? Objective: Synthesize qualitative scientific evidence in nursing with cultural competence care for older adults, in order to recover and to describe the best evidence. Methods: Systematic review of the literature in the Iberoamerican Scientific Space, following a protocol in seven phases of execution restarts from proposed by Guerra, Muñoz and Santos Lozano (2003). Nuevos retos para la enfermería en práctica avanzada RESUMEN La detección de la violencia de género (VG) y la asistencia diferenciada de las afectadas en urgencias, plantean un reto en la sensibilización de los profesionales. ¿Es la enfermera de RAC sensible a la detección de VG? Metodología: Estudio retrospectivo, transversal y descriptivo del periodo abril-diciembre 2011. Revisión de Hª clínicas de las mujeres detectadas como VG desde RAC. Objetivos: Conocer la labor realizada por la enfermera en práctica avanzada en RAC y el perfil de las mujeres afectadas. Discusión: Los escasos episodios detectados, son signo de poca sensibilización de los profesionales. Sin embargo, cuando se ha activado el circuito específico, la respuesta ha sido rápida y acertada. Conclusiones: Es necesario sensibilizar a las enfermeras de RAC, para mejorar la detección de la VG y poder aprovechar los recursos asistenciales. Objectives: Know the work done by the nurse in practice advanced RAC and the profile of the women involved.Discussion: The few episodes detected, are sign of little awareness of professionals. However, when the specific circuit has been activated, the response has been swift and successful.Conclusions: Need to educate nurses in RAC, in order to improve the detection of the VG and take advantage of health care resources. Humanized their stay and a responding chord so vulnerable to collective.
