This book is dedicated to the future generations of Namibia, particularly to women; all my childhood friends; sisters, and brothers who have somehow managed to continue to strive in life despite rough beginnings in the SWAPO refugee camps -starting from the "Old Farm" to Nyango, in Zambia. Although my journey into academia, which began after the liberation struggle of Namibia, has not been easy due to the fragile educational system Namibians in refugee camps had to go through, I have somehow made it to this high point in formal education. True, it was challenging, but it was doable. Therefore, I would like to tell my peers that if I could make it, then they can also make it. I am a strong believer in the old adage: Where there's a will, there's a way! I would particularly like to dedicate this work to my mother, "meme" Susan Ndataneke Nghidinwa. God has truly blessed me with such a strong, loving, supporting and inspiring mother. You will forever be my hero, "Mee"! Last, but not the least I dedicate this work to my grandmother, Linea Kayone, my sisters and brother: Maila, Nangula, Takatu, Kirsti and Yesaya, and my nieces and nephews: Feiyo,
