O artigo buscar analisar a perspectiva educacional que se gesta na antiguidade cristã, de forma a encontrar nos conceitos de pedagogo e de pedagogia um caso capaz de exemplificar a influência, mas, também, o deslocamento, do alcance do modelo pedagógico grego naquela matriz. Neste sentido, Clemente de Alexandria e sua obra O Pedagogo são estratégicos para entendermos as diretrizes inovadoras que orientaram um dos modos mais exitosos da formação do homem cristão, a saber, a pedagogia da conversão. Neste sentido, Clemente de Alexandria é, sem embargo, um capítulo relevante na história da educação cristã, pois foi um dos primeiros a conceber o cristianismo como um programa completo de formação e como um método de aprimoramento moral coroado por uma genuína concepção de pedagogia e de pedagogo.
O estudo investiga as percepções de estudantes do 3o ano do Ensino Médio matriculados em escolas públicas do município de Delmiro Gouveia, situado no sertão do Estado de Alagoas, sobre a disciplina Sociologia. O contexto da pesquisa corresponde ao momento em que uma Medida Provisória do Governo Federal pretendeu retirar a obrigatoriedade do ensino de Sociologia do currículo, entre outras reformas para o Ensino Médio que geraram protestos em todo o país, culminando na ocupação de escolas pelos estudantes. O estudo se vale de um referencial bibliográfico e de um corpus documental específicos, bem como da aplicação de um questionário estruturado para a tomada de dados junto aos estudantes, parte deles presente na ocupação de uma das escolas em Delmiro Gouveia. Posteriormente, graças à mobilização dos estudantes, entre outros direitos conquistados em relação à sua formação, a Sociologia voltou a ser conteúdo obrigatório do currículo do Ensino Médio.PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Estudantes de ensino médio, disciplina de Sociologia, legislação educacional
Resumo: O propósito deste artigo é apresentar o processo de constituição do ensino mútuo no Brasil no século XIX como modelo pedagógico para educação primária das províncias, a fim de abranger o maior número possível de alunos de forma econômica. Como fontes de pesquisa, acionamos leis, relatórios ministeriais do século XIX, e estudo de alguns autores, a exemplo de Chervel (1990) e Julia (2001). Embora o ensino mutuo ou lancasteriano como ficou conhecido, tenha sido constituído no Brasil para ampliar a oferta de ensino de primeiras letras inserindo monitores e decuriões para assessorar o professor, com o passar do tempo foi associado a outros métodos de ensino se configurando na segunda metade do século XIX em um ensino misto levando em consideração às necessidades dos estabelecimentos escolares. Consideramos que esse método, implementado por D. Pedro I, representou uma importante tentativa de instruir a população brasileira. Palavras-chave: História da Educação. Instrução Pública. Resumen: El propósito de este artículo es presentar el proceso de constitución de la educación mutua en Brasil en el siglo XIX como modelo pedagógico para la educación primaria en las provincias, con el fin de llegar económicamente al mayor número posible de estudiantes. Como fuentes de investigación, activamos leyes, informes ministeriales del siglo XIX y estudios de algunos autores, como Chervel (1990) y Julia (2001). Si bien la enseñanza mutua o lancasteriana como se conoció, se estableció en Brasil para ampliar la oferta de enseñanza de primeras letras mediante la inserción de monitores y decuriones para ayudar al docente, con el tiempo se ha asociado con otros métodos de enseñanza que toman forma en la segunda mitad. Siglo XIX en la enseñanza mixta teniendo en cuenta las necesidades de las escuelas. Creemos que este método, implementado por D. Pedro I, representó un importante intento de educar a la población brasileña.
