Sekolah merupakan rumah kedua bagi peserta didik karena sebagian besar anak-anak menghabiskan waktunya di sekolah. Di sekolah juga terjadi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan yang maksimal bagi siswa termasuk kesehatan jiwa. Masa remaja merupakan masa yang paling rentan terhadap gangguan psikologis. Gangguan kesehatan mental merupakan hasil interaksi antara predisposisi atau kerentanan dan stres yang disebabkan oleh pengalaman hidup seperti stresor rumah, akademik, dan teman sebaya sebagai tiga domain stres umum untuk remaja apabila tidak diatasi secara positif, dapat berkontribusi pada masalah perilaku yang terinternalisasi dan perilaku bunuh diri. Masalah kesehatan mental yang tidak diobati seperti depresi, kecemasan, dan gangguan pasca trauma (post-traumatic stress disorder) akan memengaruhi kemampuan remaja untuk terlibat secara bermakna dalam pembelajaran dan fungsi pada masa dewasa. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan sosialisasi dan promosi tentang kesehatan jiwa melalui pelatihan kader sekolah sehat jiwa. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah, pelatihan dan pendampingan. Kegiatan pelatihan ini menunjukan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan serta kesadaran tentang kesehatan jiwa bagi warga sekolah. Sekolah dapat memasukkan ke dalam program kurikulum tentang literasi kesehatan jiwa pada saat Masa Pengenalan Lingkungan Sekolah (MPLS).
Poor family nutritional practice is one of the major leading causes of stunting in children aged 0-59 months. Good family nutrition practices are one of the primary keys to stunting prevention. It can also reduce the prevalence of stunting and the impact it has on families, which are included in the category of stunting risk families. This study aimed to investigate nutrition-aware family practices at Haliwen Health Center, Atambua-one of the border areas of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) and Democratic Republic of Timor Leste (DRTL). It is a descriptive study with a cross-sectional design that took place at the Haliwen Health Center, Belu Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia, from September 1 to October 30, 2021. A total of 147 families with children aged 0-59 months, were selected by purposive sampling. Most mothers (60%) gave exclusive breastfeeding to infants aged 0-6 months. Most mothers (78%) firstly gave complementary feeding to infants at the age of 6 months, most families and children (94%) ate a variety of nutritional sources, most families (56%) used iodized salt, most infants (95%) aged 6-11 months and children 12-59 months received vitamin A supplements, most (88%) pregnant women received iron supplement at least 90 tablets during pregnancy, most postpartum women (72%) received two capsules of vitamin A supplements. 58.5% of families at the Haliwen Health Center had implemented 75% nutrition-aware family indicators. However, none of them had performed 100% nutrition-aware family indicators. Sustainable assistance needs to be improved to reach 100% nutrition-aware family and implemented in all families.
The spread of COVID-19 that has swept across the world as a global public health emergency is an unexpected, sudden, unplanned, and unimaginable event that has even affected the world in all aspects of the fabric of people's lives including psychological, economic, educational and social. culture. Belu is one of the districts in East Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia. The main style of culture in the Belu Regency is that it has four major ethnic groups, namely Tetun, Marae, Kemak, and Dawan which are thick with customs by the teachings of the Belu tradition. The Belu community has a view of life that believes that there is a close relationship between individuals, society, and nature which is symbolized through various forms in the form of traditions of carrying out ritual or customary ceremonies. To explore public perception about the concept of COVID-19 in public trust in Belu Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province. Methods An ethnographic approach used by focused ethnography. Data Collection for 6 months (May until October) through interviews, documents, and observations. Tested semi-structured interview guide. The type of purposive sampling consisted of 14 participants consisting of 4 communities, 6 health workers, and 4 traditional elders living in Belu. Data analysis using NVIVO. Analysis of qualitative ethnographic research data using the Spradley Model to look for cultural themes, found three main themes: (1) Other Names or Local Designations for COVID-19 (2) Community Trust vs Mistrust against the Danger of COVID-19 (3) Standing, Blocking, Expelling, Deterring and Fencing and Unite in Dealing with COVID-19.
ABSTRAKBalita pendek (Stunting) pada balita masih menjadi masalah kesehatan secara global dan nasional. Kurangnya pengetahuan ibu tentang pemenuhan gizi merupakan salah satu faktor determinan kejadian stunting bagi bayi dan balita. Pendidikan kesehatan dengan media leaflet dinilai efektif untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat, yang dilakukan pada jumlah sasaran terbatas seperti pada posyandu. Kegiatan ini dilakukan pada tanggal 17 Desember 2021 di Posyandu Weraihenek I, wilayah kerja puskesmas Haliwen, dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 23 orang yang terdiri atas wanita usia subur (WUS), ibu hamil, dan ibu yang mempunyai bayi dan balita. Kegiatan terdiri atas 4 tahap yaitu: (1) pembukaan; (2) penyampaian materi; (3) diskusi; (4) penutup. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan terjadi perubahan pola pikir dan peningkatan pengetahuan tentang pencegahan dan penanggulangan stunting. Penggunaan metode ceramah dapat menjamin terlaksananya proses diskusi yang fleksibel sehingga partisipan dapat mengajukan pertanyaan dan edukator pun dapat meluruskan persepsi yang keliru tentang stunting.
