Especialmente na Enfermagem, sempre foi dado destaque ao tratamento e à cura de lesões crônicas de pele. Tal enfoque se deve à alta freqüência de pessoas com feridas crônicas, aos obstáculos que elas enfrentam e a uma verdadeira luta diária travada pela equipe de saúde para a cicatrização das lesões.Este trabalho considera os fatores citados e propõe verificar o efeito do Toque Terapêutico-Método Krieger-Kunz no processo de cicatrização de lesões provocadas na pele de cobaias, para posteriormente aplicar a técnica em pacientes com feridas crônicas. Entre outros estudos, tal técnica promoveu uma maior porcentagem de cicatrização na pele de cobaias (1) , ocasionou considerável diferença do processo de cicatrização, com eliminação do efeito placebo, entre indivíduos do grupo experimental (mais de 50% apresentaram cura completa até o 16º dia) e indivíduos do grupo controle (obtiveram 0% de cura até o referido dia) (2)(3)(4) , acelerou a cicatrização de cortes cirúrgicos feitos nas costas de ratos de laboratório (5) , e acelerou a cicatrização da pele de mães que sofreram episiotomia e cesariana (6) . Existe uma recomendação da OMS sobre a necessidade de investigação de alternativas terapêuticas que se mostrem eficientes no cuidado de feridas crônicas (7) . Neste ponto é que o Toque Terapêutico (TT) se enquadra como uma prática derivada da antiga imposição de mãos, porém totalmente desvinculada de contexto religioso e baseada em técnicas construídas através de intensa pesquisa e modernas estratégias de ensino (6) . Essa prática considera o potencial natural humano de cura. Cabe dizer que os gregos de quatro séculos antes de Cristo já utilizavam a imposição de mãos com intenção de cura (8) . Há também a necessidade de se mostrar a importância de estudos como este, com intenção futura de testar esta técnica em pacientes com feridas crônicas, para melhorar a qualidade de vida dessas pessoas e diminuir o alto custo dos demorados tratamentos de tais lesões; além, obviamente, de incentivar a prática e difundir os efeitos do Toque Terapêutico.Sabendo-se que, comprovadamente, o TT tem efeitos positivos em alguns dos fatores citados, como redução da dor e do estresse e facilitação do processo de cura, este trabalho tem por objetivo principal verificar a ação do TT em cobaias com lesões de pele provocadas. Referencial Teórico O Toque TerapêuticoO TT é uma terapia holística, ou seja, que considera o ser humano como um todo composto de partes (física, psíquica, espiritual) em constante interação, que não podem ser tratadas separadamente (9) . Esse Paradigma Holístico da Medicina Vibracional encontra raízes na física moderna, de Einstein.
