El acoso escolar implica la ejecución de acciones violentas dentro de un contexto en el que se interacciona con otros, dichas acciones tienen como objetivo hostilizar y desvalorizar a otros; las habilidades sociales son factores que se van adquiriendo, se exteriorizan en un ámbito interpersonal es decir a través de las interacciones con los demás, por lo tanto, ambos aspectos tienen un factor en común que es el desarrollo por medio de la sociabilidad lo cual ha despertado el interés de estudio correlacional de estas variables convirtiéndose en el objetivo principal de la presente investigación. El enfoque del estudio es no experimental, de campo, correlacional, de corte transversal, cuantitativo y bibliográfico. La población la conformaron 91 estudiantes entre hombres y mujeres de una institución educativa secundaria. Los resultados obtenidos reflejaron la existencia de niveles bajo y casi bajo de acoso escolar en la mayoría de los evaluados, y de niveles bueno y excelente en habilidades sociales, se descartó una diferencia significativa de acuerdo al sexo en el acoso escolar, y finalmente, se encontró una correlación inversa leve entre acoso escolar y habilidades sociales.
