El Síndrome de Morquio es una enfermedad autosómica recesiva que forma parte del grupo de enfermedades raras de depósito lisosomal, y su cuadro clínico podría variar desde un fenotipo grave a una forma atenuada; esto se deben a la mutación del gen N-acetil-galactosamina-6-sulfato sulfatasa en la variante A, resultante del déficit del catabolismo del queratán y condroitín sulfato, y por la mutación de la beta-galactosidasa, resultante de la alteración en el metabolismo del queratán sulfato.
Se revela la necesidad de la capacitación sobre el impacto de la pandemia del COVID-19 en la rinitis alérgica que es una enfermedad crónica con mayor prevalencia, en donde la respuesta al proceso alérgico da una reacción de hipersensibilidad inmediata, lo que desencadena las manifestaciones clínicas. En el contexto de la pandemia por COVID-19, se han abierto muchas interrogantes acerca del control y manejo de enfermedades crónicas, tales como la rinitis alérgica (RA), haciendo que el diagnóstico diferencial entre esta enfermedad alérgica y la infección por COVID-19 sea de vital importancia, por la similitud que existe en el cuadro clínico. Esta revisión bibliográfica pretende revelar elementos para la capacitación en este tema.
