<p>Objetivo: El objetivo del presente trabajo fue describir la percepción del nivel de competencias en relación con el entorno de aprendizaje práctico, por estudiantes de enfermería de Uruguay. <br /><br />Material y Métodos: Se realizó un estudio observacional, descriptivo, transversal interviniendo 33 estudiantes del último ciclo de Facultad de Enfermería de  Universidad de la República y Universidad Católica del Uruguay. Los datos se recolectaron en el año 2013 utilizando dos instrumentos previamente validados, el Nurse Competence Scale y el Practice Environment Scale-Nursing Work Index. <br /><br />Resultados: El nivel global de competencias percibido por los estudiantes es Muy Bueno (76.97; VAS: 0-100). La dimensión autoevaluada como más alta fue Rol de Trabajo. La frecuencia de utilización de competencias se ubicó en su mayoría (84.8%) entre utilizadas “muy a menudo” y “ocasionalmente”. El entorno se evaluó mayormente como no favorable (54.5% en desacuerdo). No se pudo establecer relación entre competencias y entorno para la muestra estudiada. <br /><br />Conclusiones: Los estudiantes avanzados tienen un muy buen nivel de competencias. La autoevaluación, a través de instrumentos como el NCS, es una herramienta fundamental para la evaluación de las competencias alcanzadas. Es imprescindible continuar investigando acerca del entorno y otros factores que puedan influir en las competencias<br /><em><br /></em></p>

Informed consent forms have been useful in clinical practice and they constitute a part of the shared decision making in the informed consent process. They provide information to patients about clinical procedures and techniques. They also act as a remainder of the information discussed after the medical interview. Sometimes these documents are not readable to everybody. Belgian law specifies that all information that patients receive has to be proportionate verbally, but written information is also handled. The present research analyzes the readability of the Flemish informed consent forms located in the webs of all General Hospitals using a simple random sample of 75 informed consent forms. By using the Douma tool, which bases its analysis in the length of words and sentences, the readability mean of the sample was 46, level “Difficult”. The 59% of them had a difficult level. The 11% were normal. It is a fact, then, that the 59% of the informed consent forms evaluated in this study are not suitable for everybody in Flanders, especially those people with low literacy. There were some researches made in other countries that agreed with these results. Written clinical information was poorly written so the informed consent forms were not working helping patients to recall information nor helping patients to become a part in the shared decision making about their health. The use of readability formulas represented a simple way to discriminate those informed consent forms that had normal readability scores from those that should be adapted.

Purpose: To develop and validate a tool to evaluate the NANDA International, Inc. diagnostic classification. Methods:The tool, EVALUAN-I, was validated in a non-probabilistic sample (N = 460) on Spanish Registered Nurses (September-December 2019) in two phases. First, design and construct the instrument in three steps: (1) literature review to define the construct focusing on the orientation toward nursing concepts and theoretical foundations, the level of scientific evidence, the structural configuration, the applicability, the nurses' clinical reasoning skills, and the attitudes toward nursing diagnosis, (2) substantiation of the questionnaire items and design according to the criteria for a diagnostic classification, (3) expert test to establish the face validity and content validity. The second phase revolved around (4) conducting a pilot test and measuring the temporal stability (test-retest) and Cohen's kappa coefficient; assessing psychometric properties by measuring (5) reliability (internal consistency using Cronbach alpha and interfactor correlation) and ( 6) construct validity (exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis). The manuscript follows the STROBE checklist. The study was approved by the Research Ethics Committee with registration number 2019-190-1. Findings: EVALUAN-I displayed moderate test-retest stability, adequate construct validity, and excellent reliability. The confirmatory factor analysis provided evidence about the configuration of EVALUAN-I in relation to nine analytical dimensions: clinical competence, nurses' reasoning skills, attitudes towards nursing diagnosis, discipline's central concepts, classification's contents, physiopathological attributes, level of scientific evidence, diagnostic precision, and conceptual correspondence between terminologies.Conclusions: EVALUAN-I is a valid and reliable instrument, which can be used to improve the epistemological, normative, and intuitive configuration of NANDA International, Inc. in a structured, systematic manner.

Objetivo: el objetivo principal de esta revisión es identificar las mejores evidencias específicas disponibles en la literatura científica sobre el cáncer de mama en niñas y adolescentes.Metodología: búsqueda avanzada en distintas bases de datos de las que se han recopilado 8 artículos con altos índices de impacto según JCR publicados en los últimos 5 años y disponibles a texto completo.Resultados: existen factores de riesgo modificable y no modificables relacionados con el cáncer de mama en niñas y adolescentes. Es de gran importancia el conocimiento de la enfermedad, las pruebas diagnósticas, la imagen de la mujer con cáncer de mama y su preocupación por el embarazo tras el diagnóstico en este grupo poblacional. Es necesario establecer sistemas enfermeros específicos para las afectadas o en riesgo de presentar cáncer de mama, así como para su familia.Conclusión: La figura de la enfermera cobra aún mayor importancia en este ámbito. Los profesionales de enfermería deben estar perfectamente formados y tener una cartera de servicios para la prevención del cáncer de mama en niñas y adolescentes, pruebas diagnósticas específicas para este grupo vulnerable y el cuidado de la población afectada. El apoyo educativo sería la estrategia de elección para llevarlo a cabo.
