The global evaluation of motion patterns can examine the synchrony of neuromuscular control, range of motion, strength, resistance, balance and coordination needed to complete the movement. Visual assessments are commonly used to detect risk factors. However, it is essential to define standardized field-based tests that can evaluate with accuracy. The aims of the study were to design a protocol to evaluate fundamental motor patterns (FMP), and to analyze the validity and reliability of an instrument created to provide information about the quality of movement in FMP. Five tasks were selected: Overhead Squat (OHS); Hurdle Step (HS); Forward Step Down (FSD); Shoulder Mobility (SM); Active Stretching Leg Raise (ASLR). A list of variables was created for the evaluation of each task. Ten qualified judges assessed the validity of the instrument, while six external observers performed inter-intra reliability. The results show that the instrument is valid according to the experts’ opinion; however, the reliability shows values below those established. Thus, the instrument was considered unreliable, so it is recommended to repeat the reliability process by performing more training sessions for the external observers. The present study creates the basic functional assessment (BFA), a new protocol which comprises five tasks and an instrument to evaluate FMP.

Se utilizó la batería Valoración Funcional Básica propuesta por Gil-López (2018). Los datos obtenidos indican un Índice Global de Riesgo de Lesión (IGRL) de 45,74±2,01%. Las compensaciones que más se han dado entre todos los judokas fueron rotación externa del pie derecho/izquierdo, pronación pie derecho/izquierdo, pérdida de disociación lumbo-pélvica, movimiento del tórax, escápulas aladas y protacción cervical. En cuanto, a los años de práctica se muestran diferencias en el test de la articulación del hombro (SM), donde aparece mayor número de compensaciones en los sujetos qu upo de judokas analizado no muestra un alto riesgo de lesión, pero se re ora de los déficits registrados.e llevan menos de diez años practicando judo. P Basic functional assessment of the judoka: A pilot study AbstractThe aim of this study was to describe the basic functional profile (VAFB) of a group of 13 competitive judokas at the national level. The method used was the basic functional Assessment tests battery proposed by Gil-López (2018). The results obtained indicate a Global Injury Risk Index (LRTI) of 45.74 ± 2.01%. The most common compensations among all judokas were external rotation of the foot, right/left, left/right foot pronation, loss of lumbo-pelvic dissociation, chest movement, winged scapulae and cervical protation. As for the years of practice, there were differences in the shoulder joint test (SM), where there was a greater number of compensations in the judoka who had been practicing judo less than ten years. P rrective exercises to improve the judokas articipants did not show a high risk of injury, but it is recommended to include co ' detected deficits.

El objetivo del presente estudio fue analizar el perfil funcional de un grupo de jóvenes deportistas, todos pertenecientes al programa nacional de tecnificación de bádminton. Se evaluaron a 43 jugadores de bádminton (26 chicos y 17 chicas), de entre 15 y 16 años, con una experiencia mínima de 3 años de práctica competitiva. Se evaluaron los patrones motores básicos utilizando para ello, la batería de valoración funcional “Basic Functional Assessment” compuesta por cinco pruebas funcionales Overhead Squat test (OHS), Hurdle Step (HS), Forward Step Down (FSD), Shoulder Mobility (SM) y Active Straight Leg Raise (ASLR). Los resultados muestran que el grupo de chicos ha presentado una mayor incidencia de compensaciones totales que el grupo de chicas. La compensación que más se ha repetido en toda la muestra ha sido la protracción cervical, vista en la prueba del SM.  Seguida de la pérdida de flexión de hombros, en el test OHS. No se hallaron diferencias estadísticamente significativas entre géneros. De manera conjunta como equipo de bádminton sin diferenciación de género obtuvieron una media de 20,86 compensaciones sobre 75, mostrando un perfil funcional aceptable. Las compensaciones que más han presentado los jugadores se encontraban en el complejo de la cadera, en el complejo del hombro, así como una falta de estabilidad del core.
