The tourism industry poses both favorable and unfavorable consequences to the local communities of tourist destinations. This study aims to analyze the economic, social, and environmental impacts of tourism on the host community in Nathiagali. In this study, the data were collected through structured questionnaires from 200 residents of the selected tourist destinations. The study applied factor analysis approach for empirical results. It is found that the local community perceives positive and significant economic and social impacts from tourism in the form of job or business opportunities, raising the standard of living and infrastructural development in the area. On the other hand, tourism brings environmental threats including health hazards from air and noise pollution, environmental degradation, and traffic congestion issues for the local community. Based on the results, it is recommended that appropriate policies are needed at the government and local levels to get maximum benefits from tourism in Nathiagali, Pakistan.
Abstract-Currently, social networks have brought about an enormous number of users connecting to such systems over a couple of years, whereas the link mining is a key research track in this area. It has pulled the consideration of several analysts as a powerful system to be utilized as a part of social networks study to understand the relations between nodes in social circles. Numerous data sets of today's interest are most appropriately called as a collection of interrelated linked objects. The main challenge faced by analysts is to tackle the problem of structured data sets among the objects. For this purpose, we design a new comprehensive model that involves link mining techniques with semantics to perform link mining on structured data sets. The past work, to our knowledge, has investigated on these structured datasets using this technique. For this purpose, we extracted realtime data of posts using different tools from one of the famous SN platforms and check the society's behavior against it. We have verified our model utilizing diverse classifiers and the derived outcomes inspiring.
Hydralazine is a vasodilator used in the treatment of resistant hypertension. It is a safe and widely used antihypertensive medicine. Its common adverse effects include headache, rebound tachycardia, fluid retention, and angina. It is a rare cause of anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA) associated vasculitis (AAV) with pulmonary and renal involvement. We report a case of a 74-year-old woman, with over eight years of use of hydralazine, who presented to the hospital with shortness of breath and cough. Blood work revealed deranged renal function with high creatinine levels. Serology workup was positive for antihistone antibodies (AHA), anti-nuclear antibodies (ANA), myeloperoxidase (MPO) ANCA and proteinase-3 (PR-3) ANCA. Renal biopsy showed diffusely flattened tubular epithelium, focal micro vesicular degeneration, and focal loss of the brush border of the proximal tubular epithelium. Hydralazine was stopped and the patient was treated with corticosteroids, resulting in the resolution of her kidney injury.
Background: Time management skills increase satisfaction and balance between work and life. Additionally, managing time effectively reduces anxiety while also making achieving goals easier. Aim: The objectives of the study were to figure out the time management skills of medical students and their relationship with socio-demographic characteristics. Methodology: This cross-sectional study was conducted in a medical college of Faisalabad.Study duration was 4 months (October 2021 to January 2022). A total of 250 students were enrolled in a study. The inclusion criteria included medical undergraduate students.A total of 50 students were enrolled from each class of MBBS through non-probability convenient sampling technique.A questionnaire titled “Time Management Assessment Questionnaire” containing 25 items developed by Wayne State University was used. A participant who had a score <29 was deemed to have poor time management abilities. A participant had average time management abilities if their overall score ranged from 30 to 44, and they had exceptional time management skills if their overall score ranged from 45 to 50. The IBM SPSS Statistics Version 25 was used for data analysis. Results: Most of the students were found to have inadequate time management skills. Class 2nd and 1st year MBBS students were found to have more inadequate time management skills followed by 4th, 3rd and final year students. Fairly well time management skills were shown by 1/3rd of participants and excellent time management skills were shown by less than 10% of participants. Conclusion: Over half percentage of medical students have poor time management abilities. Based on their socio-demographic characteristics, there are no differences in time management abilities among participants. Reading books and other publications on the subject, as well as attending related workshops and seminars, can help students improve their time management abilities.
