La fibromialgia es una enfermedad caracterizada principalmente por dolor crónico generalizado, síndrome constitucional y trastornos del sueño; además, está asociada a factores genéticos y epigenéticos. El manejo de esta enfermedad es desafiante y costoso, por lo que se han buscado nuevas alternativas como el tratamiento de oxigenación con Cámara Hiperbárica que ha demostrado una notable mejoría en cuanto a la reducción del dolor en pacientes con Fibromialgia. La eficacia de este tratamiento es influida por diferentes mecanismos como la inducción de neuro plasticidad, actuando sobre las áreas de percepción del dolor y reduciendo la respuesta antinflamatoria. OBJETIVO: Describir la eficacia de la oxigenoterapia hiperbárica en el tratamiento sintomatológico de la Fibromialgia. METODOLOGÍA: Se realizó una revisión bibliográfica en las bases de datos (PubMed, Scopus, ScienceDirect). Se aceptaron artículos en inglés y español, artículos de libre acceso, artículos originales, revisiones bibliográficas y libros. En cuanto a los años de antigüedad de los artículos, fue un aspecto que no se consideró debido a la información limitada con relación a la patología. CONCLUSIONES: Existen estudios prometedores con el uso de la cámara hiperbárica para tratamiento de pacientes con fibromialgia reduciendo el dolor y síntomas como la falta de sueño y fatiga que ocasiona, sin embargo no existen estudios suficientes que comprueben que puede ser utilizada como una línea de tratamiento.
La Tirzepatida creada por Eli Lilly and Company, es el primer agonista dual del receptor del polipéptido insulinotrópico dependiente de glucosa o GIP y del péptido similar al glucagón-1 o GLP-1. Se aplica una sola vez a la semana e integra las acciones de ambas incretinas en una única molécula. Las investigaciones clínicas de Tirzepatida demuestran una eficacia importante y prometedora para la reducción de peso corporal y glucosa en diabetes mellitus 2, mostrando superioridad a otros fármacos GLP-1. Objetivos: Describir la eficacia de la Tirzepatida en pacientes con Diabetes Mellitus 2 y obesidad. Métodos: Se realizó una revisión bibliográfica para analizar la eficacia y beneficios de la Tirzepatida especialmente en referência al tratamiento de la Diabetes Mellitus de tipo 2 y la obesidad. Conclusiones: Las reducciones en el nivel de hemoglobina glicosilada y el peso corporal observados con Tirzepatida fueron consistentes en los resultados de los ensayos clínicos. Estos resultados fueron dependiente a la dosis, es decir que mayor dosis mayores efectos beneficios en comparación con otros fármacos. Se verificó una buena seguridad y tolerancia al fármaco en diferentes poblaciones pudiendo llegar a ser una de las primeras alternativas farmacológicas para el tratamiento para estas patologías.
