Objetivo: Estimar o subdiagnóstico de hanseníase no Brasil durante a pandemia da Covid-19. Métodos: Trata-se de estudo ecológico. O desfecho foi a variação nos diagnósticos de hanseníase no Brasil em 2020. Considerou-se variáveis demográficas e clínicas. O Z-Score foi calculado comparando os casos diagnosticados em 2020 com a média daqueles diagnosticados no quinquênio anterior. Resultados: Todas as Unidades Federadas apresentaram redução de cerca de 39% dos casos de hanseníase, com exceção do Distrito Federal. Esta queda ocorreu a partir dos meses de março/abril, coincidindo com o agravamento da pandemia da Covid-19. A variação foi maior nas populações de menor escolaridade, idade e nas formas mais leves da doença. Os exames de coletividade e os encaminhamentos apresentaram maior variação negativa, corroborando a interrupção das campanhas de prevenção. Conclusão: Houve redução de 39,18% nos diagnósticos de hanseníase no país. O Distrito Federal apresentou aumento nos diagnósticos, podendo ser atribuído a companhas no período pré-Pandemia.
Objetivo: Estimar o efeito de fatores associados à mortalidade em UTI na população do Piauí. Métodos: Coorte retrospectivo com dados do SIH-SUS. Os dados foram coletados com base em autorizações de internação hospitalar com diárias em UTI no Piauí. Foram coletados dados sobre o perfil dos pacientes internados e o desfecho morte. As análises univariada e multivariada foram realizadas no Software IBM SPSS Statistics 20 com a estimação do Odds Ratio dos fatores associados à mortalidade em UTI no Piauí. Resultados: A taxa de mortalidade média encontrada foi de 32,76%, com aumento durante e após a Pandemia de COVID-19. A mortalidade foi maior entre homens, entre idosos acima dos 80 anos e entre amarelos e pretos. Ainda, a mortalidade foi maior nos atendimentos de urgência e nas internações prolongadas. A análise multivariada reforçou os resultados anteriores, apresentando maior risco de mortalidade entre homens, entre aqueles de maior idade, entre os amarelos e nas internações de urgência ou prolongadas. Conclusões: Os resultados encontrados estão de acordo com a literatura da área. Outros estudos são necessários para avaliar o impacto destes fatores no desemprenho das unidades de terapia intensiva, assim como para a adaptação de escore prognósticos para a realidade local.
