Los análisis de diversidad de microartrópodos de suelo confirman que el efecto antropocéntrico es un factor limitante en la distribución y establecimiento de poblaciones de especies edáficas. Esto se puede apreciar al ver que los sitios con mayor diversidad se encuentran las áreas conservadas (San Jerónimo Amanalco), seguidas por el área de bosque del Molino de Flores y el área en recuperación de San Luis Huexotla. Con respecto a los Lepidoptera diurnos, la mayor diversidad se encuentra asociada a los sitios conservados de bosque de Pino – Encino de San Jerónimo Amanalco, donde están registradas 29 y 31 especies, seguidos por los sitios del Molino de Flores y San Luis Huexotla, debido a que si bien son áreas aparentemente conservadas tienen un impacto ambiental debido al ecoturismo y los contaminantes ambientales.
