Esta pesquisa teve como foco central os modos de organização de sociabilidade nas experiências de resistência vividos, no Rio de Janeiro, por moradores de favelas, contra o despejo de suas terras e moradias, frente às transformações no uso e ocupação do solo urbano entre os anos de 2009 e 2016. No contexto dos processos de gentrificação da periferia brasileira, investigam-se os limites impostos aos horizontes emancipatórios e à realidade daqueles que se recusam a aceitar sua marginalidade. No âmbito da luta por terra e moradia e nos horizontes históricos dados pelos limites lógicos desta forma social, buscamos contribuir com o estudo das relações e mediações construídas por necessidade dos processos de resistência dos moradores pela permanência em seu território, na perspectiva de insurgência de um sujeito consciente de sua condição e de sua de potencialidade transformadora.
