Abstract:The objective of this work was to produce methyl biodiesel from Bombacopis glabra (B. glabra) oil degummed with H 3 PO 4 . The methyl biodiesel was prepared in an alkaline medium, and characterized by physico-chemical parameters, thin-layer chrmatograghy (TLC), gas chromatograph (GC), (Nuclear magnetic resonance of hydrogen (H-NMR), thermogravimetry and infrared analysis. The physico-chemical parameters of biodiesel were in accordance with the limits established by National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) Resolution 45/2014, except oxidation stability, where it was corrected with the addition of antioxidants such as TBHQ and BHT.
