El objetivo de esta investigación fue determinar la relación entre las actitudes del profesorado hacia la innovación y las competencias genéricas en estudiantes del V ciclo de la Facultad de Educación de la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, 2021-I. La investigación es de tipo básica, de enfoque cuantitativo, a su vez, su diseño es no experimental transeccional y su nivel es descriptivo-correlacional. La muestra estuvo conformada por 119 estudiantes, a quienes se les aplicó dos cuestionarios; el primero que permitió medir las actitudes del profesorado hacia la innovación desde la percepción de los estudiantes, fue el cuestionario-escala QUACINE de Traver y Fernández (2016), que consta de 17 ítems y 4 dimensiones: motivación y dedicación docente, nuevas metodologías, oportunidad del contexto y revalorización de la docencia. El segundo instrumento, destinado a evaluar el nivel de competencias genéricas adquiridas, fue elaborado por Solanes et al. (2012), con 29 ítems y 3 dimensiones: competencias instrumentales, interpersonales y sistémicas. Los resultados obtenidos demostraron que no existe relación significativa (Rho=-0.121 y p= 0.188) entre las dos variables de este estudio, por lo cual, se acepta la hipótesis nula; sin embargo, se encontró relación significativa, inversa y baja (Rho=-0.274 y p= 0.003) entre la dimensión nuevas metodologías y la variable competencias genéricas.
