Realizou-se um estudo observacional descritivo baseado na análise de laudos de pacientesatendidos pelo Microlaboratório do Centro de Atendimento Comunitário do UniCEUB(Brasília, DF), durante o período de Julho de 2016 a Dezembro de 2017. Amostras de fezesforam coletadas e analisadas pelos procedimentos de Hoffman e Paratest, com coloração emlugol. Dos 3833 pacientes analisados, 666 (14.8%) estavam infectados com, pelo menos, umparasita. Todas as infecções no estudo foram causadas por protozoários, não se encontrandoevidência de infecção por helmintos. Os protozoários encontrados foram: Endolimax nana(10.4%), Entamoeba coli (5.6%), Entamoeba histolytica (1.9%), Giardia lamblia (1.1%) eIodamoeba butschlii (0.6%). Observou-se que 95 dos pacientes infectados apresentavam-semultiparasitados (14.2%). Uma relação positiva entre sexo (masculino) e a presença deparasitas intestinais também foi observada. Comparou-se a incidência das parasitoses com aporcentagem de domicílios com saneamento básico nas regiões administrativas do DistritoFederal e dois terços (66.6%) das regiões apresentaram uma porcentagem de pacientesinfectados dentro do desvio padrão independente da porcentagem de saneamento básico daregião
